Beds are built and filled and ready for planting! We will have a 2x37 foot bed up front, 2 4x16 beds and a 4x31 bed out back.
I hope you all are ready to buy lots and lots of basil, tomatoes, peppers, and squash in a few months!

Happy Mother’s Day everyone!!! 💚

Mother’s Day week is probably the busiest and most labor intensive time of the whole year for us. This is when we get allllll the plants in the ground.

We started the tradition of mom spending the entirety of Mother’s Day playing in the dirt when the boys were little and over time it has slowly evolved to a whole week. With the addition of the growing spaces at our Sunset property, it looks like it’s going to take at least 2 weeks to get all the plants and seeds in the ground.

It’s jelly making day!!! Well, this afternoon will be.
Definitely going to make at least a batch each of blueberry and watermelon, hoping to make multiple batches of them though.
We will be at the Mother Road Farmers Market this Saturday with bundles of chives, some rosemary sprigs (both are FMNP voucher and EBT token eligible), fruit veg herb powders, blueberry simple syrup, and jelly (all are EBT token eligible).
We ended up with waaaaay too many Brussels Sprouts (also EBT token eligible) from last Saturday’s produce distribution so we will be bringing those too.

Mother’s Day is rapidly approaching and that means it’s almost warm enough to plant cold sensitive plants!!!

We will be getting our cucumber, watermelon, and squash seeds started this weekend and will have our extras available in our booth at the May 10th Farmer’s Market. We will (hopefully) have a couple different varieties of basils this day as well.

We didnt start eggplant, sweet pepper, or hot pepper plants this year (on purpose). If anyone has extras, we would be open to trading or purchasing from you.

So many things happening on 2nd Street on Saturday!!!! Stop by the Borderlands' Produce On Wheels With-Out Waste produce distribution and get your $15 produce boxes, pop in to the Arts Council 4th annual Arts Festival and get some art, and finish your morning off with a stroll through the Farmer’s Market!
