TNR Planning and Preparation Steps
🐈​Establish Routine: Get the cats on a strict, consistent daily feeding schedule (same time/place, removing leftovers) to ensure they show up for trapping.

🐈​Schedule Appointments: Determine the number of cats you will trap and schedule the spay/neuter surgeries ahead of time.

​🐈Obtain Traps: Secure one humane live trap per cat (plus extras for mass trapping) and practice setting them up.

🐈​Prepare Holding Space: Secure a quiet, warm (approx 70°F), dry, and escape-proof area where cats can safely recover in their closed traps before and after surgery.

🐈​Arrange Transport: Plan how you will safely and calmly transport the secured traps between the trapping site, the holding space, the clinic, and back for release.

BTW - These eartipped cuties we're a collaboration with CCA and SPAR because of good planning and preparation. They are available for adoption from Shady's Paw Animal Rescue.

Englebert has had such a tough time. In care for several months and seen by many different doctors. He has had a dental and a scope completed. Last week his foster noted that he could not put his leg down. What was initially thought to be severe osteoarthritis is now ending with a leg amputation and pathology being sent out for possible cancer. He has further bloodwork today and surgery scheduled for tomorrow. He is the nicest, most grateful boy and he certainly deserves a chance. The Animal Medical Center of Frederick County is taking great care of Englebert! He has had multiple xrays and doctors review the scans. If the bloodwork is okay then Dr. Bruce Welch will do surgery tomorrow. Please send some prayers for this boy!

Santa's tree at Posh Pets Boutique Wi******er, VA . Please consider adopting a kitty from the tree!! They each have a wishlist and have been excellent kitties!! Our fosters will send their gifts with them when they are adopted. On the tree are also some of our long term fosters who have been in care due to their significant health issues!!
