Tallow balms are not all created equal!

*If the balm smells like beef, the tallow wasn't properly rendered or the wrong type of fat was used.
*Many tallow balms are WAY too potent with scents, probably to try and cover the beef scent.
*If it sits on your skin, feels greasy or tacky and doesn't absorb, how is it even helping the skin? This type of balm, whether straight tallow or tallow mixed with other oils can actually clog your pores and make your skin appear greasy while leaving stains on your clothes. Yuck!!

Wyoming Wilds Tallow balm was created to give the deep moisture we crave, alllll the nutrients AND a really nice creamy feel that absorbs quickly.

Follow the link in my bio section to get your own, and dont forget to watch part 2 (link in comments) to see the difference in these types of balms on my skin!

If you're looking a for bug repellent, healing, non-toxic and non-wasteful product for your horses.... look no further!

Barn Balm can be used on all livestock for sores, scabs, hot spots, swelling, itching and more caused by bug bites- particularly gnats. This balm not only protects existing sores, but helps speed up healing and then protects the new healthy skin too!

I made an application video with my goodest boy Buck a few of years ago when I first made the balm. Check it out and see how calm he is even though you can see all the bugs and flies in the video. This boarding facility had bugs so bad (especially gnats) it's what actually led me to creating this balm. In a future post I will share how bad his swelling, scabs and bites were and how quickly this balm worked 💪

For now, enjoy Buck being the star as usual and standing in as a perfect model.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

What's so unique about Barn Balm you ask??

Well let me tell you!

It's the first balm I ever made. I didn't plan it out. I didn't carefully select ingredients. I didn't have multiple tries to get it right. I literally made it in a complete panic because my horse was being eaten alive by gnats. What made it even worse was I had just sold nearly everything I owned and went from a 3 bedroom, 2 story house with a garage down to a 100 sq ft camper! Somehow, I happened to have the right ingredients in that camper... I had never used them before, and I can't even tell you why I had purchased them. I just knew they were expensive and wanted to keep them just in case.

After a quick Google search, I grabbed those ingredients, some random oils that repel bugs and a pint mason jar. Within one hour I had made something I had no clue would a become my go to for nearly everything from then on. I rushed to the boarding farm and rubbed it all over my poor horse. He had swollen lines on his chest a very swollen sheath, bloody ears and the worst "sweet itch" scabs along his midline I had ever seen (and I've worked on thousands of horses).

I really didn't expect anything other than hoping it would at least coat those areas and keep new bites from happening.... you could've knocked me over with a feather the next day when I saw his sheath was nearly normal size, the scabs were gone and there were no new bites. The gnats wouldn't even go into his ears and the other horses there were still miserably itching, stomping and swishing tails frantically. My gelding just stood calmly.

From that day on I KNEW I had something. Something totally unique that actually worked. It lasted longer than a few hours and to my surprise I only needed to reapply every few days. His ears stayed clear for an entire week!! And he actually liked the smell of the balm and would ask to smell it before I put it on.

Not only did it work, but I didn't have to worry about any warning labels, breathing in chemicals or keeping it off of my skin. In fact, I rubbed it right in to my skin when I was done with him! Knowing all the ingredients are clean and natural is an amazing thing.... but being able to use it on yourself is something of magic.

Sprays? Don't last. Super expensive. Most of it drifts away in the air.
Ointments? Sort of work, but usually don't last more than a day and smell awful.
Chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive issues? I'd rather not put it on them or myself!

So that's the story of Barn Balm.

Creating something out of panic and exhaustion from wasting money on other products... turned out to be the best thing I could've ever done for myself and my horses 🐎
