16 Paws LLC Welcome! My name is Emily. I'm a canine behaviorist living in beautiful Wilmington, NC. Here's to our journey together!

16 Paws Paradise started in 2018 and is a locally owned business located in Wilmington, NC who provides specialized dog training and daycare designed to rehabilitate pet dogs displaying signs of reactivity, aggression, and anxiety. I've had dogs all my life and in 2018, I quit my job and pursued my lifelong dream of running a doggy daycare. I primarily work with clients that have been kicked out o

f "big box" daycares and those told by other trainers they couldn't be helped. I specialize in rehabilitating pet dogs displaying reactivity/aggressive behaviors, anxiety and other stubborn behavioral issues. I call my daycare the land of weirdos and misfits, and I wouldn't have it any other way! My goal in our training sessions, is to impart you with the tools, tricks and body language to help you develop that relationship with your dog. I look forward to working with you and helping you cultivate your own Zen dog!

So for some uncanine news... Ponga misses her kitty so much and her last dog walker has rescued a perfect match for her, so the 16paws family is officially adding a new member of staff! Meet Simon! ❤️❤️❤️

He will be joining us as of this weekend to help Ponga with her duties of keeping me sane and whomping her crazy ass friends about the head 😂

In all seriousness, he's got to be the most unbothered cat I've ever met. He just watched Ponga as if he were watching a Jurassic Park movie and when she got too close he said "no" and she said "ok." The golden retriever in the crate below him was going berserkers and neither Ponga nor Simon was phased, even though I was a bit startled! They only saw each other!❤️

Of course, it will be slow going at first, it's hard for a 10 # beastie to accept an 151 # beastie, but they'll definitely be besties in no time flat. Stay tuned for reels and pics of my gorgeous boy and their evolving friendship! We can't wait to have you here Simon!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️😻
