Because he def was NOT this cute minutes ago when he chomped not only one, but two hands once we were done with our shot today.

Day 4 of injections. Weds we go to see Dr. Gervais to get bloodwork done. During this treatment our biggest thing to make sure is that our kidneys are holding up well through this all. I’m hopeful we may have caught this early enough to make a full recovery, and this is absolutely Dr Gervais’s jam.

One last request for help this year... plans have changed with Theodore having a serious diagnosis. If you cant help, please LIKE/COMMENT/SHARE it helps get the word out

I am beyond thankful for the kitty networking world. In the first 24 hours of Theodores diagnosis of FIP I had contacts talking to me from 3 different countries, and one of the best researching facilities on shelter medicine in the world. We have asked all the questions, and have a game plan now that I feel sort of good about..
He’s on day 3 of the medicine. I had it on hand, because last year made me PARANOID, and now I have emergency meds on stand by for just about everything because NOTHING is immediately accessible where I live. But he’s already doing better. We had our first actual poo that looked like poo yesterday after just the SECOND day of meds. This gives me hope.
And we gonna learn together folks, if I have to learn about another weird disease, so do you, educational posts coming this week. But this treatment has an 80% success rate, and those are odds we can win.
But this also means we have to ask for help. I was SO convinced we were done with kitten season, and I budgeted enough to make sure we had enough for supplies and testicle festivals… and well, this treatment isn’t cheap.
We also need more kitten food and supplies, as its 82 days of treatment, and under supervision for another 3 days to make sure they don’t relapse.
We have updated our wish lists, and we are going to repost spots for financial donations as we have to buy the meds from the pharmacy.
There are a few things youll notice on our wish list that we could really use like the probiotics, disposable litter boxes (this kid makes an incredible amount of waste for one tiny body, and he still wont use the litter robot FML).
You will notice that were on a (MUCH) more expensive food as well, legit about double the fancy feast – this little kid is in such fragile condition, we want to give him the BEST nutrition possible, and really make sure we do everything to support his insides to give them a chance to recover.
Its going to be a long 82 days… but three down…

For those of you who aren’t local followers of ours, we not too far from Southport, NC where a shooting last night at American Fish Company left 8 individuals shot, and 3 deceased, with 1 more in critical condition.

We are also part of the music community here, and thankful none of our friends were injured. It’s sounding like most of the folks injured were tourists visiting our lovely area 😞

We are tired, and i go tomrorow to donate blood to hopefully get rid of these migranes (yes folks, now im *too* healthy and make too many platelets)

I am very, VERY grateful for the amazing network of professionals who have answered all of my stupid questions, helped me plan for Theodore. I always offer to help others in rescue, because this community has always offered to help me. Having direct lines to team members of huge research institutions has put my heart at ease, and Theodore and I are prepared to give this FIP hell.

Our little Theodore has fluid on the abdomen, which is what I feared 😞. We’re going to try FIP meds and see if we make a turn around. He’s doing really well otherwise, but breaks my heart to have to do this game again.
