A little behind-the-scenes look at what a typical cat sitting visit looks like.

Every visit begins with a calm entrance, a friendly hello, and letting the cat set the pace.

In this video, Bella comes over to say hello before deciding she’d rather head off and do her own thing and that’s perfectly ok. Not every cat wants pets or interaction right away, and some simply prefer to observe from a distance.

Part of Fear Free care is respecting each cat’s comfort level, giving them the time and space they need, and allowing trust to develop naturally. Every cat is different, and I always follow their lead.

One of the biggest benefits of cat sitting is that your cat gets to remain in the comfort of their own home and maintain a familiar routine. Cats are creatures of habit, and changes to their environment can be stressful.
