We welcomed two new guests to our pack recently--siblings Jake and Jax! They stayed with us for the day and met a couple of our OG guests. Jax was a little shy at first, but soon settled in and engaged with the other dogs. Jax was initially rambunctious, but with consistent guidance, he eventually calmed down and got along well with everyone. We hope they visit again soon!

Roscoe's cousin Fig and his fabulous 'fro came all the way from the ATL to stay with us recently! He met a few of our regular guests, came prepared for our Eagles Pup Rally, and enjoyed the full Jill's Play 'N Stay experience! He's officially a member of the pack!

The dog days of summer were full of friends and fun and Jill's Play 'N Stay! Whether it was racing around the yard, walking to the park, playing with puzzles, or calling a meeting of "Nap Club" to order, our guests had a great time with us in August. Sometimes when Roscoe sleeps, he snores like he just worked a double down on the docks. While shocking at times, I know that Shih Tzus and other brachycephalic (short-snouted) breeds are prone to snoring because they have shortened airways, especially when they sleep in certain positions. But there are different reasons why dogs snore, some of which may indicate a health issue. This article from BetterPet discusses common causes of snoring in dogs and when to consult your dog's veterinarian.

Dogs snore for the same reason as humans — because the airflow in their nose or throat is blocked. Tissue or blockages may cause their airflow to stop and start rapidly, causing your pup to snore.
