Our 🌟10 Virtues 🌟 are 15 days old today - P***e, Joy, & Patience have their 👀 open so far and everyone is starting to walk! A cozy bed and Lamb Chops were introduced to their box and they’re loving both 🥰

These little ones born April 5th are growing up so fast! They’re already “walking” around their whelping box and enjoying snuggles and pets ❤️. They’re going to have some big 🐾 to fill 🥰

So what are Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) & Early Scent Introduction (ESI) ? 🤔

ENS requires handling the puppies one at a time while performing a series of 5 exercises.
5 benefits have been observed following ENS exposure:
- improved cardio vascular performance
- stronger heart beats
- stronger adrenal glands
- more tolerance to stress
- greater resistance to disease

ESI involves introducing puppies to 1 novel scent each day. This could include a new object or a small amount of a stronger scent rubbed on a cloth. It’s intended to improve future scent awareness and confidence. 🐾

Yesterday, our puppies started Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI). These are generally performed during the critical developmental stages days 3 - 16.
They also had their 1st nail trim 🐾

The whelping yesterday had a few hiccups! The biggest issue was puppy #8, orange collar, was taking a while to appear and needed assistance. After that, puppies #9 and #10 quickly made their surprise appearances! #9, light pink collar, is tiny and needed a lot of work to bring back around. She’s been getting tube feedings of Devin’s milk. Hopefully she just needs extra support and some time 🤞🏼
Everyone else seems to be doing really well ☺️
