Fighters For Frenchies Foundation We are a non-profit organization based out of Kansas that works to rehabilitate and advocate for French Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds.

We also assist special needs dogs. https://www.fightersforfrenchies.com Our organization was officially founded in 2025, but we have over 10 years of rescue experience. Our primary focus is French Bulldogs and other brachycephalic breeds, but we also take in special needs animals when we have space. We currently take in owner/breeder surrenders and hope to help shelter dogs in the near future. We

specialize in taking dogs with IVDD and various medical conditions. We're currently located in Wichita, KS and place dogs in foster homes until they are adoption ready. It is our hope to one day bring awareness on these breeds and education to the Wichita area, which is overrun with unethical, backyard breeders.

🎅 Uh Oh! Do we think Enid is on Santa’s nice or naughty list?

Regardless of which list she ends up on, we love her anyways! We don’t discriminate and only take the rare “healthy, perfectly adoptable” French Bulldogs. Even the silly, and sometimes naughty dogs like Enid need our support. Today is her recheck for pneumonia and we need some donations! After she is cleared we will process applications and be contacting those who have shown interest in her!

😻 Adopt Shoto the Kung Fu Cat! 😻

This is Shoto, he has Radial Hypoplasia which is a less common condition in felines that causes a deformity in their legs. Due to his special needs he does have special requirements. Cats with RH can be prone to developing joint issues so he is currently taking a joint supplement that we would prefer he stays on. He needs to be able to easily access his litter box, food, and other items without jumping too high, and keeping him from jumping off tall objects can also help protect his bones as well. Any cat we adopt out MUST remain an indoor cat for their entire life, but even more so with Shoto as he could not defend himself or survive outdoors. He is cat friendly, but we would prefer a home without dogs since he’s not a fan of them and he can’t escape as quickly or easily as normal cats. Please message us for more information on Shoto!

Perci has a hemivertebrae, a spinal condition where one or more of her vertebrae are formed in a wedge shape instead of a normal rectangular shape.
👉 This can put extra pressure on her spine, so she needs a home that will help protect her back and keep her comfortable long-term. She is doing well going to therapy once a month, as well as remaining on her medication and special supplement.

🐾 Welcome Izzy to Fighters For Frenchies 🐾

One of our wonderful medical fosters stepped up today to help this sweet girl. She was surrendered this week as she started having hind leg weakness. We are starting her with conservative care to see if she can regain her mobility, and then will address her future needs and plan.

We do know she is only 3 years old, struggled with occasional skin allergies like most frenchies and is super friendly. French Bulldogs may be cute but their vet bills are not. We need your help so we can continue to take in dogs like Izzy. Our donations are struggling this month and we need a Christmas miracle! 🙏🏻

➡️ If you haven’t heard of us yet, we are a newer nonprofit organization based out of Wichita, KS that works to rescue French Bulldogs and animals with special needs. We also hope to spread awareness and education on such an overbred, medically fragile breed.

🎄 Vivi would love to spend Christmas with her forever family!

Vivi is one of the sweetest fosters with some extra needs. She does have IVDD and is paralyzed, but she is still the happiest girl around. She has wheels and a drag bag and loves to bounce around. Vivi is a social butterfly and does wonderful with all animals and kids! She will require bladder expression, diaper changes and routine urine checks as she suffers more often from UTIs. We also ask that all of our special needs dogs remain on their supplements and are able to receive routine vet care. If you’re looking for a girl that makes every day a good day, shes the one!

‼️We are going to be extremely cautious on who adopts any of our diaper dogs, as many of them have been failed once by humans or suffered from neglect/abuse. If you do not have experience with her needs, we are happy to help train the right person.

🚨 ITS MONDAY AND WE NEED DONATIONS! 🚨

We have struggled a lot this month, and we are completely out of funds. We have upcoming vet appointments, animals in need of special food, diapers, monthly medication etc. Ideally we need to raise at least $5,000 to cover the $4,500 we need to pay so we have funding for future vet visits. We’re at the point that we can’t take in anymore animals until we have the funds and we dont know how we will cover anything this week. 🙏🏻

These are the faces of some of the amazing dogs in our care that deserved a second chance. We know with Christmas coming up less people have the extra funds to donate, but if you do it would be greatly appreciated. We cannot do this alone and desperately need our communities support. All donations are tax deductible as we are a nonprofit organization!

❤️ Biscotti is looking for her forever family! Could that be you?

We are thrilled to announce that Biscotti has been working on being dog friendly, and she is learning to be comfortable around smaller dogs. She was previously attacked by dogs in her former owners home, which we believe caused her to have some hesitation being around other dogs. She is doing well and even transferred to a foster home with one other small foster dog to see how she does. At this time we believe if given a proper amount of time to adjust, she could coexist fine in a home with smaller dogs who will not instigate with her. Being blind she does also take time to get used to new environments but is a sweet and playful girl once she’s figured it out.

🎅 Orange Crush has one thing on his Christmas list, and that’s to find a very special family to call his own!

Crush is currently the only paralzyed cat in our care. He is thriving in his foster home and is ready to find a family of his own! He is one of our special needs animals and will need a very special family. We don’t know much about his past, but we do know he was found living outside and unable to use his back legs. Unfortunately whatever caused his injury is permanent and he is paralyzed, but don’t worry that doesn’t slow him down! He is still a little speed racer and knows how to climb. He does need his bladder expressed 3-4 times a day, but he’s getting used to the routine and rarely puts up a fight. He’s on a special vet prescription diet as well as a supplement to prevent UTI’s and promotes kidney health.

‼️He is cat and kid friendly but we would prefer a home without dogs. He is curious about them, but he would struggle to escape quickly if necessary. Please message us if you’re interested or want more information on Orange Crush!

🛁 Livvy says that Sundays are for bubble baths! 🛁

Even though she was once neglected and abused for being special needs, she still has so much love to give her humans. Livvy was unfortunately punished for becoming paralyzed and not being able to control her bowel movements. When she first came into our care, we had to show her that it was safe to p**p and you don’t have to be scared and you won’t be hit for something you can’t help. She also came with severe urine scalding and an untreated UTI from sitting in urine and not having her bladder expressed. This breed is often seen as dollar signs and when they can’t make their breeders money, they have no value and are thrown away like trash. She now knows it’s okay to be paralyzed, and she has so much worth.

Livvy is one of our few paralyzed dogs who is still searching for her forever family! We usually get some interest every time she is posted, but then no response when they realize she will require a little extra work. She will need her bladder expressed and regular diaper changes, as well as frequent urine checks to stay on top of any UTI’s. Livvy loves to be on her wheels and spends time in her drag bag. We do require our diaper dog adopters to have an adult in the home that either works from home, stays home or has a flexible job that allows you to frequently leave and care for her as needed.

🎄FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR CANYON! 🎄

We would LOVE to find this girl a home before Christmas, but we at least need to find a foster until her forever home is found. She needs a safe place to land in about 2 weeks. Canyon is dog selective, and has a dominant personality. She is cat and kid friendly and does fine around men once she warms up. Her personality is very loyal and she has gotten more playful over time.

➡️ Canyon came to us after battling long term skin allergies and severely swollen ears. Her ears are feeling so much better and her foster parents have been taking wonderful care of her.

📣 Looking to add a little chaos into your life? Adopt Vito!

We absolutely adore Vito, but we don’t lie about our dogs and Vito is a challenge! He not only has IVDD and is paralyzed, he also has severe anxiety/Pica and needs to remain medicated. He currently takes trazodone, fluoxetine and gabapentin daily, but still requires extensive supervision when out. He will eat anything that touches the ground, including but not limited too; socks, paper towels, shoes, diapers, clothes, pillows, blankets and basically anything that is not supposed to enter his body. He is diapered when out, but does not need his bladder expressed. If he’s left alone too long, he will eat his own diaper just because. It’s best he is kenneled with nothing on if you can’t have eyes on him.

We know this sounds like a lot, and it is. But he CAN be super sweet when he’s not terrorizing his entire house. He loves to snuggle and get belly rubs, he also plays with his friends when he is in a good mood. His scream? Will send you over the edge, but he just wants to be by your side 24/7. Deep down Vito is a good boy and deserves love, he was abused and neglected by his previous owner and when he became paralyzed they wanted nothing to do with him and left him outside alone, they also still attempted to breed him.
