We received a raptor rescue call for an injured hawk unable to fly in a fenced-in backyard in St. Louis County, MO. These rescue calls rarely go as predicted and this bird gave us the runaround... The bird had been fairly inactive and found refuge behind some trash cans in their yard, so it was quite surprising the chase we were led on.

Michael Beran, the owner of The Wildlife Command Center, has 40+ years of experience with nuisance wildlife and has been a Master Falconer since 2005 and established Raptor Rescue Inc. in 2010 to help rescue injured birds of prey and see to it that they receive the proper medical treatment after being successfully captured. An injured animal can be dangerous and unpredictable, and birds of prey are fragile and have to be handled with care and expertise, being such we don't recommend the general public try to capture a bird or animal by themselves, that's why we're here.

World Bird Sanctuary is home to over 200 animals representing over 60 species. They've got great educational programs and events ongoing so plan your visit and consider donating to their mission below.

This year's Wildlife Expo held by NWCOA and the NPMA took place in Orlando, Florida. The easiest way to describe the event to you is, it's the SXSW for wildlife control operators. Vendors demonstrate their newest products for wildlife control operators, there are training seminars, lectures, and even keynote speakers. The only thing missing is the concert lineups. 😂 We'll be releasing several other videos and featuring many of the vendor booths that were in attendance ahead, so thanks for watching, and be sure to subscribe!

The event is specifically targeted to wildlife control operators across America from large companies to even one-person operations but it's a great opportunity to grow their business, discover new products, attend training sessions and network.

We flew out to Reno to catch up with our territory manager, Matt, in Reno. He had a few upcoming jobs and needed a bit of advice from Michael, the owner of the Wildlife Command Center, and then we visited a beaver trapping job Matt had been working for a couple months where Michael enlightened us with all types of beaver trivia including an official beaver p**p taste test...
