✨ Why Ethical Breeders Use Contracts ✨
Every responsible breeder has contracts in place to protect their dogs and the future of their program. These contracts aren’t just paperwork — they are promises that ensure the dog’s safety, well-being, and lifelong security.
✔️ If someone ever finds themselves unable to provide proper care, the dog must always return to the breeder. This is non-negotiable. It prevents abandonment, neglect, and irresponsible rehoming. An ethical breeder never leaves their dogs without a safe place to land.
✔️ Contracts also define clear expectations for guardianship, responsibilities, and breeding rights. These conditions exist to protect the bloodline, preserve the breeder’s legacy, and ensure that any future generations are raised with the same care, health, and integrity.
✔️ Transparency matters. Our contracts, terms, and conditions are not hidden or “surprise fine print.” They are published openly on our website for anyone to review at any time. Everyone who works with us knows exactly what to expect before moving forward.
By contrast, an unethical breeder operates without contracts. They place dogs with no accountability, no safety net, and no protections — the same way you’d hand over a bag of chips. Even rescues, who work tirelessly to save lives, have contracts. Why? Because true responsibility requires structure.
We also make it clear that deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel the placement to seek a better fit. Agreements are not changed because someone decides they don’t like the terms after the fact. Being respectful of the process and the commitment it represents is part of working with an ethical breeder.
We are proud to have a long waitlist of families who value this level of care and accountability. These are individuals who understand what a waitlist entails, who are patient, respectful, and willing to partner with us in protecting the future of the dogs we raise.
At the end of the day, this is about more than a contract. It’s about a promise: to protect every dog we bring into this world, to uphold the integrity of our bloodline, and to ensure our dogs are always placed in homes that respect and honor that commitment. That is what it means to be an ethical breeder. 🖤🐾
