She has decided this week that her pups do not need as much attention, and I need to take over some parenting responsibilities lol. She has been such a lovely mother, and even adores and mothers her cousin Opal's babies as well. Such a gem and valuable member of our program!

A huge deciding factor when planning the future of our program, is whether or not a dog or a line of dogs has the ability to do the work Collies were originally created to do.

Well here is some 4th generation proof of our success in achieving that goal, as well as many others...
Gentle, loyal, hard-working, devoted, intelligent, healthy, natural herding instinct with functional beauty!!!

Brom was co-bred by myself and my sister over at ShadyCreekCollies. His father, Biggs, and his mother, Paisley, enjoy moving large livestock on our individual farms, and it was a pure joy to watch their son, with no training, instinctively keep his brand new flock of sheep in a group at his own new farm!

It was, indeed, a long night, but blows me away with how easy she makes this whole birthing process! 🥰
She gave us TWELVE gorgeous healthy babies in exactly 6 and a half hours!! 🤯🥳
We will be busy the next few days keeping track of growth rates and hopefully some new born photos as time allows.

Opal is an incredible mother, but we will likely see if Summer is willing to help feed some of these many hungry mouths.

Shout out to this beautiful new momma, and her incredible temperament and attentive care for her new little babies.
This girl is such an important part of our program. She is our primary Junior Showmanship partner, and loves all things sports, herding, hiking, and lounging. One of our favorite things about her is her shut off switch. She can go from 100-0 any time your ready, but is always down for work and play.
Paired with Biggs, we are excited about the genetic health, temperament, and sports/herding potential the pups might have!

Long time no post!!!
We have had a nice break from breeding these past 12 months. We have definitely missed our little baby collie snoots though!!!

More specifics coming soon, but we have pups on the ground out of girl Summer, and one more repeat breeding/litter this month to announce upon their safe arrival!

Keep an eye out for puppy spam this spring break! We are beyond excited!

Note: I want to give a shout out to our local vets for their emergency availability and assistance in all things related to our kennel/farm. We could not do what we do without their willingness and expertise... THANK you to all the Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians out there! You don't get enough credit for what you do!

This growing young lady, Zea, made her puppy (BPUP) debut this past weekend at the Sunflower Cluster in Hutchinson, KS.
I was beyond proud of her 2 group 1sts we achieved together, as well as her group 1st and 3rd in BPUP and a B Match with a couple of friends handling her!
She is fun and games, and I adored spending more time with her. Looking forward to more shows and sports in the future with her!

Side Note: Zea (pronounced "Z") means Wheat and Life. She's the color of ready to harvest Kansas wheat, and her registered name holds meaning for our kennel as well. She was a bit of an unnoticed oddball in her litter, and carries her daddy's color, and her momma's temperament. I didn't notice her much at first but she spoke volumes to me with her evaluation at 7 weeks, and I couldn't let her leave. So happy with that decision!

Miss Bailey was reserved for a family who had some unexpected turn of events, and she now is in search of her forever home.
:)
She tested incredibly well on her temperament evaluation, and would fit into almost any situation with ease!
She adores exploring and affection, and learns very quickly.
CAER eye check done, vet checked, microchipped, utd on shots, started well on crate training, etc.

These 3 hooligans had birthdays this past week!
Lots of love and snacks were had.
and both turned 3, and 2. We are so proud of them all, their goofy personalities, and the contributions they've made to our program already!

Opal has her BCAT, and has blessed us with some lovely babies with incredible minds and genetic health. She keeps all the babies in line out here, hers or not, and nothing on the farm happens without her knowing. She's a gentle but confident girl.
Summer is our peewee and Jr. Showmanship dog in residence. She got our foot in the door in conformation, which we are so greatful for, and has the best working shut off I've seen in a dog.

Update: Has a Home!

This special sweetheart is available to the right home!
She's a darling personality. Fun, bubbly, playful! She LOVES a good game of fetch, and brings the toys back for more already. Just a joy of a young lady.
