ENS begins today, and Zea isn't going to like the break we make her take while we get these little exercises done. She was very concerned that her pups weren't on their sibling pile when it was time for their individual photos. 🤣😅 Love her instincts! ... and her babies!

Update on our new little bunch of smoothie babies since we are almost a day in, and I have a couple minutes while momma is outside getting some air. 😂
Zea is quite the mother! She was consistent and calm during whelping, had no issues delivering or tending to each little one as they arrived. In one day, she has gotten the hang of helping them find their way over to her if they start crawling off. (She was a bit stressed about them not being close to her at first, but what a quick learner she is! She just guides them with her long collie snoot, and they follow the scent of mom back to her side

We have a temp drop on miss Zea! Her normal temp rides in the 101 range, and 98.6 is our midday check temperature.

For those of you who don't know, the temperature typically drops 12–24 hours before whelping (giving birth)
We have all the typical early signs, nesting, licking, discomfort, belly "dropping", etc.
Hoping for a smooth delivery, and good news very soon!

So she got a couple extra times back around the ring with a group, and boy howdy did she blow it out of the water with her poise and relaxed cheerfulness! So proud of her.
