Bee construction amazes me! Not only do they build perfect little hexagons to make up the comb. But they actually build bigger cells for the drones (male bees). Because they need more room to develop into their adult form. ——————————-——————— The amount of planning done, and accuracy absolutely amazes me! ———

THIS QUEEN WAS SO CALM! 🐝 👸

Sprayed some sugar water on the bees to keep them calm but she was extra calm! Got her caught and put in a safe home with all her ladies! 🐝

Things don’t always go smooth…. Here is a minute of getting stung, being covered with bees, hats falling off. This one was rough at times!

But we ended up finding the queen on camera so stay tuned for when it turned around! 🐝

The waggle dance is one of my favorite thing bees do!!

They actually give GPS locations to good food sources (or other things like new a new home)

You’ll never guess what was in this water meter 🐝

This young colony of honeybees were in a water meter in the front yard! We removed it safely, found the queen and gave the bees a loving home!

DPS called the bee man and he answered!! This is what holds up the road construction…. Just kidding the guys were working hard!!

We haven’t posted much lately and have gotten a little behind on removals!!

We had 300 colonies to deliver and install locally and the rain was no help!

But here is a simple little swarm removal!

And for the rest of the season we will be on the spot for swarm and structural removals!!

Finally found the queen on video and caught her! This was the second removal on this old chapel!

We got to do a bee removal out of Nelson University and it was awesome. We were about 35 ft off the ground for this one.

A lot of people think these are just weeds! But I am here to tell you otherwise. These plants are the first source of food for our bees. They may not look as nice as solid Bermuda. But the benefits they provide for wildlife are out of this world.

So think about letting your yard grow out during this season and maybe straying away from “weed” killers because the plants they focus on are great for our environment.

The pictures with bees on them were taking in my small little backyard so imagine what your property could do!
