💜 The Senior Mustangs are Safe 💜 Thank you American Wild Horse Conservation for sharing the post to help save them and to everyone else who shared and donated to ensure 2 senior mustangs are safe.

They do need a forever home or rescue together as we were told they are bonded and are on the McClean, Texas lot.

🚨 TWO BLM MUSTANG MARES NEED OUR HELP 🚨0️⃣ is needed to finish their bail by Tuesday at 5 PM CST.

Meet DAHLIA and MELODY — two older Mustang mares whose futures are uncertain unless we can step in for them. These girls deserve safety, care, and the chance to live out the rest of their lives with dignity… not fear and uncertainty.

🐴 DAHLIA (Lot #263)
BLM Mustang Bay Mare
Foaled in 2009 | Triple B HMA, Nevada
15HH and built like a tank, Dahlia is a stunning older mare with a big hind quarter and a crested neck that makes her stand out immediately. She is halter-broke, leads well, and, while nervous in the chaos of the lot environment, she settles once she feels safe. She may not understand why her world changed, but she is trying. The BLM dashboard still lists her as “Still Adopted,” yet somehow she still ended up here.

🐴 MELODY (Lot #262)
BLM Mustang Mare
Age Unknown | 14.3HH
Sweet Melody is a kind older soul who simply wants attention and reassurance. She is halter-broke, leads, and is said to have once been trained to ride years ago before being turned out. Like many older mustangs, she can be difficult to catch at first while adjusting to unfamiliar surroundings, but once she trusts you, she settles right in.

These mares have already been failed once. Older mustangs are often overlooked, and that makes them especially vulnerable. They deserve soft landings, full bellies, safe pasture, and people willing to see their worth.

We are trying to raise funds to help secure their safety. Every donation, share, and comment helps give these girls a better chance at the life they deserve.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the amazing mothers out there — both two-legged and four-legged. ❤️

Today, we especially want to celebrate one very special mustang mama… Nevada ❤️

Nevada has shown us what true motherly love looks like. She is gentle, caring, protective, and deeply devoted to her boy, Wyatt. From the very beginning, she has guided him with patience, love, and just the right amount of strictness to help him grow into the sweet young horse he is becoming today.

But what makes Nevada even more incredible is that her love doesn’t stop with her own baby. She has also taken yearling Cinnamon under her wing, teaching her boundaries, manners, confidence, and how to simply “be a horse.” Watching Nevada interact with both Wyatt and Cinnamon has been something truly special.

She has done such a wonderful job raising Wyatt while also helping guide Cinnamon, and we truly cannot say enough good things about her. The love, protection, and leadership she gives them every single day is beautiful to witness.

Today we celebrate all moms — especially the four-legged ones who teach us that love can be both soft and strong. Happy Mother’s Day, sweet Nevada. Your babies are lucky to have you. 🌸🐴💕

Placement has been found for everyone! We need to raise 3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ to get their board paid, so they can leave.

🚨 URGENT – MULTIPLE LIVES DEPENDING ON US RIGHT NOW 🚨

This is one of those moments when everything is hitting at once… and we cannot do it alone.

Right now, we have horses that are already safe because we said yes… and others who are counting on us to finish what we started. Every single one of them is on a deadline.

💔 Here’s where things stand:

🐎 Mustang Trio – 21 DAYS IN HOLD
These three were saved 21 days ago… and they are still waiting.
⏳ Board is adding up DAILY. We need 3️⃣6️⃣5️⃣ to get their board paid and off the lot.
They desperately need:
➡️ Board paid
➡️ Placement is found for all 3.
We cannot continue to say yes to others if we are stuck here.

But we still need his remaining bail by this weekend so he can catch his ride to safety when transport arrives to pick up another horse.

🚨 SOS: HELP US SECURE A SHELTER THIS WEEKEND 🚨

9️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ is what we need to raise to secure this setup. With the summer heat already arriving, our seniors need more protection from the sun.

We have the opportunity to secure a 13x26 carport that has already been converted into a stable setup — and this could be a game-changer for the rescue.

This isn’t just a basic shelter…
✔️ It already has stalls built in
✔️ Provides immediate protection from sun, rain, and harsh weather
✔️ Gives us the ability to safely intake, quarantine, and care for more horses

But here’s the urgency —
⏰ We can pick it up THIS WEEKEND
💔 Only if we can raise the funds in time to secure it

This setup would allow us to:
• Provide proper shelter in multiple weather conditions
• Safely house new intakes or horses in transition

🚨 THEY HAVE SHADE… BUT THEY STILL AREN’T PROTECTED 🚨

Yes, our pastures have trees. 🌳
Yes, they can get out of the direct sun.

But shade is NOT the same as shelter.

When storms roll in… when the wind picks up… when the rain pours down, or temperatures swing… they have nowhere safe to go. No dry place to stand. No protection from the elements.

And that matters more than people realize.

💔 Because without proper shelters:
➡️ We are limited in how many horses we can safely take in
➡️ We have to say no when we should be saying yes
➡️ It slows down our ability to rehab, gentle, and prepare them for adoption.

Shelters aren’t just structures…
They are one of the reasons we can save more lives.

🚨 EMERGENCY FUNDRAISER 🚨 Tuesday at 5️⃣ PM is the deadline for all 4️⃣ Mustangs below.

5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ needed to save the group of 3️⃣.
She is SAFE, the single Mustang. 💜

We are down to the wire and need your help RIGHT NOW.

The senior mustang we stepped up for last week is SAFE thanks to a very special, amazing donor—but we are not out of the woods yet with the others.

⚠️ THREE direct ship mustangs need FULL BAIL immediately, or they will ship. One of them is a young mare from the SAME HMA as our two mares here—we know her story, and we cannot leave her behind.

And there is ONE more mustang mare who we were able to place a hold deposit on. She is now safe!
