A Very Good Corgi Looking For Her Next Chapter
Ivy is a very sweet Pembroke Welsh Corgi patient of ours who is in need of a new home. Her loving owner is currently battling cancer and can no longer give her the level of care and activity she is used to. This decision is being made purely out of love for Ivy and wanting the absolute best for her.
Ivy is around 4 years old and truly one of the sweetest dogs I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. She is smart, affectionate, happy, and incredibly well mannered. She loves her crate, walks beautifully on a leash (honestly the best walker I’ve ever walked and the only one I’ve never had to train!), and absolutely LOVES water. If there is a pond, pool, creek, or lake nearby, she is going in — repeatedly and enthusiastically.
She loves everyone: little kids, seniors, cats, other dogs… honestly everything. Even teenagers. 😂 She would thrive in an active home where she gets lots of attention, enrichment, and ideally access to water because swimming is truly one of her favorite things in the world.
That said, Ivy is still a corgi. Corgis are intelligent working dogs and are not just cute little fluffy couch potatoes. They require mental stimulation, engagement, consistency, and understanding of the breed. She will only be placed in a home experienced with Corgis or similar herding/working breeds.
She is spayed and up to date on her rabies vaccine, but is currently overdue for distemper/parvo vaccination.
We will be very selective to ensure she goes to the perfect forever home. Please message if you think you may be a good fit.
