Houston - we have a bird-dog. It is so cool when you see it click with the dog

It's like Bramble woke up this morning and decided, I'm going to point and be rock steady while my idiot handler walks around taking stupid pictures of me - and then the idiot whiffs us on both birds

A quick hunt on my birthday yielded the first bird of the season. Bramble had a puppy point and then started working the scent and bump the bird. Then he found a dead Porky. After pulling the quills, pick the gun up took three steps and bump the bird and made a lucky shot. I could not find it, but he found it and had his first real point.

The Bramble was starting to get "collar smart". So now, whenever the training collar goes on, first I make a big deal of putting the bright orange one on - then put the black training collar on so that he can't see it........................will see how that works.

Enjoying yet another day of man caused global warming. Continuing with whoa training. We are mounting a rescue mission to retreive a trail camera. He is steady thru the process of firing up an Auturo Fuente cigar.
