We’re excited to announce that we’ve partnered with Frankie’s Friends to help local pets receive lifesaving emergency and specialty veterinary care when their families need it most.

Unexpected veterinary emergencies can place a significant financial burden on pet owners. Through Frankie’s Friends, families facing these challenges can access assistance that helps ensure their pets receive the care they need.

Meet Chloe 🐾

Chloe is one of our incredible neurology patients who has been bravely navigating a diagnosis of Meningomyelitis of Unknown Etiology (MUE) since March 2025. Her diagnosis was made following advanced testing, including an MRI of her neck and spinal fluid analysis, which helped our team better understand what was causing her neurologic symptoms.

MUE is an inflammatory condition that affects the brain and/or spinal cord. While the exact cause is often unknown, it is believed to be immune-mediated. This means the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks its own nervous system.

Chloe’s treatment plan focuses on managing her body’s tendency to recognize normal cells as foreign and keeping her comfortable and stable. She receives Cytosar therapy once a month, which helps suppress the abnormal immune response. Additionally, she takes daily medications including prednisone (a steroid that reduces inflammation) and cyclosporine, an immunosuppressive medication commonly used to treat immune-mediated diseases like MUE.

Thanks to her dedicated care team and committed family, Chloe continues to fight this condition with strength and resilience. Ongoing treatment and monitoring are key, and she’s doing an amazing job every step of the way.

Meet Dr. Alison Jaeger, DVM, DACVAA, board certified anesthesiologist

Dr. Jaeger graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015.

She completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Referral Associates in Gaithersburg, Maryland, where she was inspired to pursue her career as an anesthesiologist.

She practiced as a staff emergency and critical care veterinarian in Maryland for one year before beginning her residency in anesthesia and analgesia at the University of California, Davis, from 2017 to 2020.

After completing her residency, Dr. Jaeger practiced at and helped organize the growth of anesthesia departments at VCA Sacramento Referral Center and NorthStar VETS.

When she is not at work, Dr. Jaeger enjoys spending time outdoors and traveling with her fiancé and family.

For Veterinary Receptionist Week, our Fun Committee is celebrating our incredible Client Service Representatives (CSRs) and Coordinators with a week full of appreciation and fun!

This year’s theme is “Taco Bout Amazing Service!”–because that is exactly what they deliver everyday.

The Fun Committee planned some creative, hands-on activities, including themed craft stations where the team can paint sugar skulls and planter pots.

Dr. Davidson will also be treating everyone to a refreshing smoothie bar, featuring his signature healthy blends!

And we’re keeping tradition alive–oue founders will be preparing a special breakfast for the staff to show our gratitude.

In honor of Pet CPR Day, Eclipse celebrates our clinical team who participate in RECOVER Training

RECOVER (Reassessment Campaign on Veterinary Resuscitation) is an evidence-based veterinary cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) guideline. This certification is the only veterinary CPR certification endorsed by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS) as a standardized method.

Eclipse requires all of our veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary assistants to be RECOVER certified and host training sessions to ensure the team is up-to-date on the latest CPR developments.

Last month one of our board certified criticalists, Dr. Davidson, presented a continuing education (CE) lecture to doctors from Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), regarding hemodialysis and extracorporeal toxin removal.

This was a great opportunity for local veterinarians to learn more about the advanced level of care Eclipse is able to provide.

Eclipse is one of the few centers in the tri-state area offering advanced specialized treatments including hemodialysis, therapeutic plasma exchange and hemoperfusion to remove toxins and drugs from the bloodstream.

By educating our referring veterinarians and the pet community, we hope Eclipse can bring more of these life-saving treatments to the pets in our region.

Meet Sam, one of our amazing Internal Medicine Technicians, pictured here with her cat, Queso. Sam originally planned to attend vet school but discovered her passion for being a vet tech—especially the hands-on care and the ever-changing nature of internal medicine cases.

Sam’s advice for anyone considering this path: “Chase your dreams and aim high. Veterinary medicine isn’t easy—you’ll need a thick skin and a big heart—but it’s so worth it. There are endless paths to explore, and the rewards make it all worthwhile.”

Outside of work, Sam’s life is filled with family, crafts, and her furry crew. She has three dogs: Vinny, a teacup Yorkie who gets treated royally; Pulgita, her special-needs rescue who wears a diaper since he was a month old; and a spirited Catahoula Leopard Dog mix with a striking coat. Lastly, Queso, the treat-loving, troublemaker cat who runs the house. Whatever she’s doing—helping patients, managing her pets, or diving into a DIY project—Sam brings heart and energy to it all.
