Reactivity with Ella❤️
Normally, she’d be barking and making a fuss — look at her go! We are rewarding her focus from people to owner!
So Ella here is doing amazing, amazing, AMAZING with her training. Ella is a very emotional dog and she has a very hard time with managing her excitement when people pass in front of the house; specifically when she sees them from the living room. Her owners have a beautiful home with HUGE windows and they’ve been keeping the blinds closed for weeks now, now being able to enjoy their view. We have been working on reactivity at the window and Ella really showed us her stuff!! For the first time in a while, they were able to open the blinds and have people / dogs walk in front of their window and guess what? No reaction! With the helpful command of “place” , her mind was completely taken away from the stimuli on the street and redirected onto working place! Amazing job, Ella. ❤️❤️
Leo learning down!
This little guy learned down in record time!!! Papillons are so, so smart ( sometimes for their own good 😉 ) — and Leo is not one to disappoint! Only 5 months old and kicking ass ❤️
Couldn’t be more proud of Ella’s success with “place”! She is doing so, so well - and she’s learning more and more everyday. When I walked in for our appointment, I asked “how is she doing in place?” , her owner was so proud to show me how much they’ve been working on it ❤️ the best part, Ella LOVES working place!
Another video featuring Ell’s beautiful loose leash❤️
Today Lucky had his first session with the prong collar 💪🏼 he did AMAZING. We will be doing prong collar sessions in places with very little distraction so we can set up a solid foundation of loose leash. With how receptive Lucky is to the prong collar, I believe the next few sessions we can increase distraction And start real-life scenarios.

There is a lot of negativity revolving around prong collars and that stems from the lack of awareness and education people have on such a powerful tool. During prong collar sessions, we need to train the PEOPLE before we train the dog. Hence why it is SO important to get in touch with a trainer that his well-versed in how to use them so they can effectively teach: why we use it, when to use it and how to use it🐾❤️ if you have a prong collar or you think you have a dog that may need one, get in touch with a local trainer so we can start making the prong collar a positive experience!
Lucky , our 8 year old lab/hound mix, is taking a snooze after a nice , short session of learning “Down” today! Putting the saying “can’t teach an old dog new tricks” to SHAME ! 💪🏼💪🏼 you sure are LUCKY to have such a kind and dedicated owner giving you exactly what you need to succeed ❤️

Working with older dogs can be a challenge with energy level , hips , stamina. You always have to take into account the duration of your sessions, and how often your repetitions are. Lucky gets tired very quickly and with commands like ”sit” and “down” , it can tire his legs out quickly. Myself , lucky & his owner have decided to cut lessons in half to ensure his experience is happy , fun & beneficial all while making a much more comfortable experience ❤️ we want to make training fun , not make it seem like a chore ❤️ i can say it’s WORKING , because of that little happy wiggle as soon as I walk in the door . “HURRAY ! Training time!” 🐾🐾
