From abandoned lots to thriving community gardens! 🌱
We're so excited to share two incredible projects that came to life in 2025 at Inlet Grove Community High School and Azure Estates!
At Inlet Grove, students are getting hands-on experience growing food for their culinary classes, helping stock the school food pantry, and enjoying a beautiful new space where they can relax and learn about agriculture. The garden club is already growing strong! The mural there celebrates all the different paths and disciplines students are pursuing—it's amazing!
Azure Estates (a low-income residential property with a 6-year waiting list!) has turned a once-forgotten space into a beautiful garden where neighbors of all ages and backgrounds come together to grow culturally meaningful foods. The community mural represents the connection and unity that makes this property special.
Huge shoutout to our friend Christian Romero and his team at buggies who made multiple trips from Miami to help make this happen! 🙌 And to artists Manley Jerome and Dominick Debasse for creating these stunning murals AND involving students in the process.
We're forever grateful to our partners who make this work possible: Walmart, American Heart Association, North Palm Beach Democratic Club, Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin County, and Big Green—thank you for believing in this mission!
Special appreciation to Mayor Douglas Alexander Lawson and Councilperson Shirley D. Lanier - Riviera Beach City Council, District 3 of Riviera Beach for allowing us to be part of the solution to food insecurity in your city. And to Eileen Bergman and Devin Krauss for your continued support in improving food access across Palm Beach County.
When communities come together, beautiful things happen. These gardens are proof that fresh food + beautification = spaces people truly love and use!
2025 has been a year of mission accomplishments and countless lives changed. Here's to growing more gardens, more connections, and more access to fresh food! 🌻🥬🍅
