After six years of working to establish some variation of Auntie Elās Doghouse in Richfield, Iāve made the difficult decision to step away and relocate north.
This has been a long journey filled with effort, hope, and persistence. I truly believed I would be able to create a permanent home here for structured, safe boarding, daycare, and training. Despite years of searching, planning, and trying to navigate local zoning limitations, I was ultimately unable to secure any path to operate long-term in this community.
To my clients and the dogs Iāve had the privilege to work with ā thank you.
You trusted me with your dogsā growth, safety, and learning, and that has meant more than I can put into words. Watching so many dogs gain confidence and stability has been the heart of this work for me.
Stepping away from dogs currently in training and those I hoped to help in the future is incredibly hard. Please know this decision comes only after exhausting every realistic option to continue here. At this point, continuing to invest time and resources locally without a clear operational future is no longer sustainable.
Richfield has been home for many years, and Iām grateful for the support and trust so many families showed me and Auntie Elās Doghouse. The mission behind this work remains the same ā providing ethical, structured, and safe care and training for dogs who need clarity to succeed.
Auntie Elās Doghouse will continue, just in a new location and chapter ahead keep your eyes on me to see what i do next!!
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your dogsā lives.
