The Brandywine Valley SPCA leads the way in no-kill open admission sheltering with progressive programs and services. Founded in 1929, the BVSPCA is the first open admission shelter in Pennsylvania to achieve no-kill status and serves as the only open admission shelter in both Chester and Delaware Counties. In Delaware, the BVSPCA is the largest animal welfare organization and the only no-kill ope

n admission shelter, providing state-wide care for lost and found dogs. In 2018, the BVSPCA led Delaware to becoming the first no-kill state in the country.

Our free spay/neuter program has spots available for community cats! Lend a paw in reducing the number of unwanted kitten litters in the community by bringing community cats in for spay/neuter and vaccinations.

Appointments are still available at our Malvern, New Castle, Dover, and Georgetown campuses. Cats must arrive in humane, live-release traps. Register now at the link below with a $10 registration donation per cat to hold your spot. All registrants must register via the form and will immediately receive a confirmation and instructions for surgery day. Limit 5 community cats per person.

Happy adoptions! 🎉 We're happy to report that puppies Ash and Wolf, featured in our Yoga with Puppies event with WGAL News Channel 8 Susquehanna Valley, Pa. in Lancaster, found their forever families. ❤️ We're so happy to see these two cuties, as well as many other deserving pets, be adopted this past week. Congratulations to all of our adopters this week! 🐾
