Wag N' Purr Animal Rescue is a foster based domestic animal rescue.

Our Mission Statement
“We exist to rescue unwanted companion animals from abuse, sickness, neglect, homelessness and loneliness, and find them loving, forever homes. We rescue dogs and cats from hard lives on the streets and rescue animals from over crowded and high-kill shelters that are at risk of being euthanized due to lack of space or interest. The animals we take in will then be fully vetted

with vaccines, and be spayed/neutered, if needed. We will place them with a loving foster family until we are able to find them a happy, loving forever home. Our rescue is run solely on volunteers and donations from kindhearted animal advocates like you. We know that sometimes all it takes to change the world is a little kindness and compassion. The core of our efforts is to bring our team’s fresh ideas and passion to serve animals who have been forgotten, abused or abandoned. Please like and share our page to raise awareness to the cause. We can't add anyone else to transport because we can't get health certificates by tomorrow morning but looking into our July transport. Anyone interested in fostering??? The shelter ris desperate to get dogs out! They are looking at euthanizing for room. Dogs that deserve good homes and love are sitting in the shelter right now. With this upcoming week looking like we’re all going to be a sweaty mess. We thought we put out a few reminders about keeping your furry friends safe when the weather is trying to kill us. We have some amazing babies available for adoption! Sweet Mercy has been with us for 6 months! That’s almost half her life! Before that, she was a stray that was brought in to the shelter. She’s such a good girl! She’s good with other dogs and kids. She still working on potty training and is about 95% potty trained. She is currently enrolled in basic obedience classes to help sharpen her skills. She has a blast playing with other dogs and attends daycare weekly. Although she is not overly fond of her crate, she does fine while in it. She just sucks it up and goes in and is quiet while she’s in there. Mercy is a happy, friendly 11 month old baby girl. She’s a petite 30 lbs but loves dogs and people of all sizes. Her foster mom also calls her a Velcro dog and a complete snuggle bug. Whoever adopts Mercy is going to a very lucky family. We have some fantastic babies available for adoption! They are all darn near perfect and would do well in just about any home. Take a look at Maverick (aka Nubby). He’s a happy, little 5 month old puppy who weighs about 15 lbs. Nubby is as sweet as they come. He loves every person he meets and greets them with full body wiggles and little puppy kisses. He is about 95% potty trained, does excellent in his crate, he is the smartest boy and learned sit, down and paw in one training session. He sits and waits nicely until given the ok to eat. He’s not a jumper. He’s a pretty calm boy with short bursts of energy mixed with cuddly naps. Nubby is dog, cat and kid friendly. He does sometimes need reminders to be gentle with his kitty friends. We have some fantastic babies available for adoption! They are all wonderful dogs and would do well in just about any home. Check out Rae is 3 years old and is a petite 33 lbs. she is potty trained and crate trained. She is a sweet, laid back girl who has fun bursts of playfulness. She does great with other dogs.
