🎉🎉🎉Friends!!! We have wonderful news!!! Rae has been adopted!!!🎉🎉🎉 She is thriving in her new home and has been having a blast playing with her new canine sibling! We are over the moon happy for Rae and her new family.
❤️❤️❤️We want to give a huge shout out to Kim and Jim for opening their home to Rae and taking such great care of her while she waited for her perfect family. We don’t know what we would have done without you and are so, so grateful ❤️❤️❤️
Also thank you to everyone who shared her post to make it possible for her new family to find her.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ Friends, we are still in desperate need of an adopter or foster for Rae. We have another rescue that is willing to take her on, but they do not have an available foster. They would need someone to foster her until she is adopted.

In case you missed our last post about Rae;
Rae has been returned to rescue due to a major change in her owner’s work schedule that now involves frequent travel. We’re heartbroken, especially after working so hard to find her a home.

As many of you know, Wag N’ Purr has closed, and we no longer have an active foster network. Rae is currently back with her previous foster (we are so grateful!), but this is only a short-term solution.

We are very concerned that without a new home soon, Rae could end up in a shelter—and that would be incredibly hard on her and undo so much of the progress she’s made.

❤️ Rae is a wonderful 4-year-old, 35 lb girl with a big personality and so much love to give. She’s fun, silly, affectionate, and loves to snuggle. She walks well on a leash, is potty and crate trained, and knows her basic commands. She’s spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives.

Rae can live with other dogs with a proper introduction. However, she can be reactive to dogs on leash. She’s also a bit cautious with new people, especially in her home. With continued support and guidance, she continues to make progress.

Her ideal home would be adults or a family with older children and some dog experience. We’re not sure about cats, so it’s best if there were no cats in her new home.

⭐️ There is no adoption fee, but all potential adopters will be carefully vetted.

We are doing everything we can to find Rae the happy ending she deserves. The thought of her in a shelter after everything she’s been through already, is heartbreaking.

⭐️⭐️⭐️Hi Friends! We have some sad news. Rae has come back to rescue. Her dad can no longer keep her as his work schedule now includes a lot of travel. We are so sad to hear this as we all worked so hard to find her a good home.
As you know, Wag N’ Purr has closed. Which means we no longer have a foster network. Rae is currently with her former foster and we are so grateful to them for taking her in again. However, this can only be short term.
I am very concerned that if Rae doesn’t get adopted soon, she may end up in a shelter situation. Rae entering a shelter would be a devastating outcome for her and will completely undo all the work the trainer and her foster parents had previously put into her.

❤️Rae is an amazing, 4 year old, 35 lb girl who has a few, very workable quirks. She’s fun, silly, sweet, snuggly, walks good on a leash, is potty trained and crate trained, knows many basic commands and adores her people. She is spayed, microchipped, utd on vaccines and preventatives.
Rae lives with other dogs and does fine with them. She does however become reactive to other dogs while on leash. She is also cautious of strangers, especially when they enter her home. Her foster parents have been working with her on these issues and she has shown some improvement but will need continued support.
Her ideal home would be one with adults or older children with some dog experience.

💔 An Important Announcement from Wag N’ Purr Animal Rescue 💔

It is with very heavy hearts that we share the news that Wag N’ Purr Animal Rescue will be closing.

We are incredibly sad to be reaching this point, but we are also filled with deep gratitude. Over the last 5 years, we have been honored to help save more than 600 dogs and cats, giving them a second chance at life. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our fosters, donors, volunteers, adopters, and supporters. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for believing in our mission and standing beside us every step of the way.

While our rescue may be closing, the need for animal advocates has never been greater. Every day, pets face abandonment, neglect, abuse, and homelessness. If you are able and willing to continue helping animals, we strongly encourage you to support one of the many local rescues that are always in need of assistance.

🐾 Fosters are always desperately needed and are often the hardest to find.
🐾 Donations, whether monetary or supplies, are always deeply appreciated.
🐾 Volunteers to help care for animals, assist with events, transport, and other tasks make a huge difference.

Although Wag N’ Purr Animal Rescue is closing, we will be keeping our Facebook Wag N’ Purr Family page open. We can never get enough of watching our babies grow and thrive in their loving forever homes 💕

Just because the rescue is closing does not mean we are abandoning our Wag N’ Purr family. We will still be here as a resource for questions or guidance whenever we can. And if we’re not able to help directly, we have connections to others who can.

R***r has made it home to OR! He’s settling in nicely and having fun exploring with his new canine siblings. Lots of exploration went on this morning, now it’s nap time 💤

✈️🐾 ADOPTED! R***r’s Big Adventure Begins 🐾✈️

R***r caught the attention of a very special family all the way in Oregon, and today his journey to his forever home is officially underway! 💙

Right now, R***r is in the air with his new dad, headed to San Francisco, where he’ll spend the night. In the morning, he’ll hop on another plane bound for Oregon, followed by a couple-hour drive to the place he’ll finally call home.

When he arrives, he’ll be welcomed by his new mom, a human big sister, two canine siblings, and two feathered siblings—what an incredible crew! 🐶🐶🦜🦜

This is just the beginning of the many adventures ahead for this handsome baby boy, and we couldn’t be happier for him and his amazing new family.

🎉 It’s happened! —Rae has found her forever home! 🐾❤️

We couldn’t be more thrilled for this sweet girl and her amazing new dad. Rae is headed into a life full of exciting adventures, continued training, and—most importantly—unconditional love.

Her dad promises to keep up with her training and take her on all kinds of adventures, and Rae promises to give him all her love, loyalty, and attention in return. 💕

HAPPY NEWS! 🎉
Mocha has been officially adopted by her foster family! She now enjoys acres of land to explore, three doggie siblings, and an active mom who takes her hiking and running. 🐾🌲

Her former family, who lovingly rehomed her due to health challenges, helped choose her new home and is receiving updates as she settles in. Bittersweet, but so beautiful. 💛

❄️🐶 Cold Weather Reminder for Pet Owners 🐶❄️

It’s single digits outside again. 🥶 If you’re cold, they’re cold. Bring your babies in.

Dogs and cats can suffer from frostbite, hypothermia, and other cold-related dangers much faster than we think.

🐾 Limit outdoor time — quick potty breaks only

👕 Short-haired and senior dogs benefit from sweaters/coats and they’re cute and stylish 🐩

Keep them warm and toasty this winter☺️
