It’s a total myth that people who use horse walkers don’t turn out their horses! Horses, as natural foraging grazers, are built to be moving 16-18 hours a day and horse walker is a great way to supplement their turnout and exercise routine with low impact free movement. Even in regular turnout, horses often don’t move around enough on their own (cue rising popularity of track turnout systems). The benefits of increasing our horses’ daily movement are things like:
🌟 better digestion
🌟improved respiratory function
🌟helps maintain healthy joint function
🌟 improved skeletal strength
🌟 improved fitness
🌟 better mental state
🌟 decreased boredom

They’re also an invaluable tool when turnout is not possible or is unsafe - like when ol’ Seabiscut is coming back from an injury and can’t quite be trusted out in a field left to his own devices yet!
