Tired, hungry, limited time. I made the best of 20 minutes today. And 20 minutes is that much closer to the goals I’ve created for myself.

When you can’t find the time- add some intensity.

When you have the time enjoy the process. Treat yourself to a long warm up, solid lifts with a purpose and a plan.

At the end of the day make sure you do something that puts you one step closer to your goals. No matter what it is.

To be honest- Fred kicked my ass in 20 minutes. Sand adds a whole lot of friction. Thanks for being there Fred!

Gotta love a show with a fitness center in the middle. Thank you for letting me get a quick circuit in between rounds.

Im typically coach who believes loading is an extremely important part training. Because of that I usually employ heavy RFE’s and split squats but An exercise I’ve come to love is the skater squat. It challenges depth and control of the movement which we often use more often in space. After completing a few sets you’ll find balance and body control improves drastically. Give them a shot!

10 minute walks!

I cannot stress enough the importance of walking, with or without a “friend”. So many friends/clients ask me for advice on how to lose weight/how to be healthy. There so many components to it but I try and start with the basics like be active.

For instance a 10-20 minute walk/jog/run can:

✅ help your whole system recover from fatigue/stress

✅ jump start your day into healthy choices

✅ burn a few calories but more importantly be an amazing positive distraction.

✅ Fill your life exercise time, instead of screen time.

All beneficial, and takes minimal time

Lately I’ve changed my training and coaching style to get away from allowing my athletes to have excuses. Tonight showed us all what it means to have a no excuses attitude. This gnarly dude took a jump to the face- got up, restarted the race with a bent up bike- no number plate- AND raced his heart out to take 3rd. If that’s not savage I don’t know what is. THIS is what it takes to be the best. No excuses, have a winning attitude!

Saturday knowledge 💣 :

Anytime I have an athlete underperform My first question to them is “Have you done everything you can?” This is often met with a blank reaction. Is this to say practicing and competing is not enough? Not necessarily but practice and competition only last a few hours. What are some things you can do all the time to be a better athlete?

Here’s some ideas:

Treat yourself like an athlete: Do top athletes have poor sleep habits? Do they live on candy? Most likely not. They sleep 8-10 hours/night, and they follow a balanced diet that works for them. Water, good carbs, good fats, lean proteins, fruits and vegetables are not rocket science 🧪.

Strength & Conditioning: Talent only goes so far. That’s the hard truth. No matter how talented you are- you can always be stronger, more fit, and more balanced. S&C with an experienced coach helps
fill in any holes in your physique, gets your strong and performing at your top level. 💪

Watch your sport: watch your fellow athletes - learn about what they do to be successful. 👀

Visualization: This is essentially the process of playing your sport in your head. Run through scenarios, go over what you do well, and what you do poorly. Visualize yourself performing tasks you would do and how they feel. 🧠

At the end of the day if you step into your arena knowing you have done EVERYTHING you can to be successful that leaves no question that you’re ready to perform, and ready to win. 🏆

When you find a plan that WORKS for your client, AND they follow it results naturally occur. 4lbs down in just two weeks 🔥

Weight loss is not rocket science, find a diet that fits into your life - not one your life has to fit into. You can still be progress with small sacrifices but ultimately consistency is key 🔑
