Foster mom treated our girl to a spa day!

***There may or may not have been promises of green beans if Shelby was a good girl. And she was such a good girl! 😍

Shelby has just started her weight loss journey but she is already blossoming and letting us see her adorable personality.

Introducing sweet Shelby.

We rescued her from the Lewisville shelter since it was her last day and she was urgent. You could just tell Shelby had a fighting spirit and was ready to start her new life. But before she can do that she needs to lose a few pounds. Or 60. We think she is up to the task! With her foster mom’s encouragement and Shelby’s determination, nothing will get in her way.

We have taken her to the vet for a health checkup and are ruling out thyroid issues or anything that may hinder her progress.

So until then, Shelby has started her diet, and a very slow intro to exercise. It’s hard for her to get around so that will take time. We are currently seeking a pool that will allow her to exercise without stressing her joints more. In the meantime, Shelby is loving all the attention. She came from a home that had so many other pets so one on one attention is something she probably hasn’t had much of. She is an official member of the Belly Rub Club.

Sweet Daisy has found a new forever home with a loving mom and sister. Although her cat sister did not cooperate for the happy tails photo, I think they will be best friends.

Our North Texas Giving Day for Animals campaign is now live. Every donation counts towards providing vital veterinary care to our foster animals. We've also been able to support pets in need within the community when their owners faced financial hardship. Your generosity is essential to our mission, and we appreciate your support.

Last year we found homes for over 100 dogs, Pulled from shelters off of the Euthanasia list or helping people rehome their dogs and keeping them out of the shelter. We also have a Senior Stars program where older dogs and cats are paired with a senior citizen. ...

ARABELLA’S STORY

Arabella is a happy girl with a beautiful, shiny dark chocolate coat...she's the sweetest dark chocolate morsel you'll ever get your hands on. She loves toys, especially balls she can chase and bring back to you. She would make a great hiking buddy; outside is one of her favorite places. She gets along with other dogs and plays (and naps) well with the smaller dogs in her foster home. This smart girl can learn quickly, she even catches treats! Doggy door?...She’s a pro!
