I won’t lie, many tears were shed on multiple occasions with letting this one go but we are THRILLED with the home she got. She is now with a wonderful family in the panhandle and Luna will be one of their daughter’s horses while going through the equine program at West Texas A&M.

Luna is a filly that we have owned for over the last year (purchased her from her breeder, born early summer ‘23) and had plans to make her one of our personal users and most importantly a broodmare, but life happens and plans change. Her sire was a champagne, gypsy/percheron cross and her dam was a grade paint. This filly is everything and more when it comes the mentality, personality, and physical attributes we want our horses to have and she will be successful in any direction she’s taken.

Luna has been handled since birth and is an absolute sweetheart. She was born in the early summer of 2023, so with late babies like her (especially the ones with zero Futurity plans) and with the draft crosses/bigger breeds, I never rush their start. It’s just a personal preference. She’s had five saddlings total where she packed it around doing some groundwork, lunging, and ground driving for about 20-30 minutes each session. She loads and unloads with no issues, hauls good, gets along with everyone in the pasture, and will typically trot right up to you to be caught. If she doesn’t come to you, just walk out and catch her. No tricks or gimmicks needed and you’ll always know where she is with her greeting nicker. She’s as sharp as a tack, has a great mind, has all of the bone you could ask for in a refined build, and has a nice cadence in all gaits. She’s barefoot, blemish free with clean legs and has always been healthy and happy.

This filly has all the right stuff to be something. Whether you need a mare with some grit to be your next number one out in the pasture doing ranch work or you’re looking for a unique sporthorse type to bring a long… she could do it all. Copperhead decapitation made us a little late to meet Proffitt Equine Transport, but it made for a funny video😆

Deets is off to his new home in Georgia!! We’re going to miss this fun little guy for sure, but we know he’s going to LOVE being doted by the grandkids and will be absolutely adorable in the photoshoots he’s used for!

Stetson and Bandit had a blast at the Sundance Select Horse Sale! I know nearly every kid at the Crook County Fairground took a turn on Bandit while he was there too😆

Bandit didn’t meet his reserve (barely) but there were no frowns to be found because of that fact. We all love Bandit and we’ll be glad to keep him around! Thank you to the entire Sundance Select Horse Sale staff for a wonderful sale!👏🏼
