The H Spur Family is comprised of Alex, little Stetson, and myself, Sarah Halverson. We are a fully family-operated business located in Weatherford, TX, that offers various types of horses that we stand behind 110% in every way, both in the saddle and out. Our philosophy is rooted in honestyโhonest horses from honest people, equipped with the skills, fundamentals, and experience to be trusted in and out of the arena.
While our main focus is always centered on horses, we do not train and sell full time. Alex has a full-time job in town, and I also run and operate my sister business, H Spur Media, which deals with equine photography and marketing across the country.
Now for the nitty gritty. Nothing is really changing, we just want to remind everyone what goes into buying a horse from us and share something new that some have already taken advantage of!

In 2026, we will be opening up a handful of outside consignment spots! Horses will have to pass an evaluation before being accepted for consignment, as we value our reputation and want to help people all we can with this new opportunity, but we will not be taking on your problem without conditions and full transparency. If your horse needs additional training prior to listing, please get with us about a monthly training option before consignment. All consignment horses must still meet our values and be ones we are proud to offer and put our stamp of approval on.

๐นEvery horse comes with:
โข Halter
โข Current Coggins
โข Registration papers (if applicable)
โข Bill of Sale
โข Additional Information Sheet (diet, farrier dates, routine care, etc.)
๐นHauling:
โข Buyer is responsible for arranging hauling
โข We can provide a list of reputable haulers that travel nationwide if you do not have a preferred hauler
โข Horses can stay free for 3 days after purchase
โข After 3 days: $35/day
โข Horse stays in our full program and is ridden and cared for like our own
โข Great option if youโre traveling or finishing up building your barn/fencing/etc.

All horsesโwhether privately offered or consigned to an auctionโcan be tried and vetted before purchase. We provide as much info and media as possible, but the best way to know if itโs the right horse for you is to come ride them yourself.

๐นCVI (Health Certificate):

โข We can take the horse to get one for out-of-state buyers

Any horse purchased from us can come back at any time for a free 30-day tune-up, you just cover feed and hay. Whether itโs 1 week or 10 years later, this term never expires in our Bill of Sale.
