Some victories aren't measured by perfect haircuts. They're measured by trust.
When Prim first came to Poodles & Pals a year and a half ago, she was so shy that even being touched felt overwhelming. So we didn't start with grooming. We started with trust.
Her mom and I would sit outside on the deck with a cup of coffee where there was less pressure and less stimulation. I'd simply sit nearby, tossing Prim little pieces of rotisserie chicken, letting her decide when she was ready. There was no rush, no expectations, just quiet moments that told her she was safe. 🍗☕
Eventually she let me pet her. Then she trusted me enough for a nail trim. Today, she's standing for full haircuts like an absolute rock star. ✂️✨
None of this happened overnight. It took months of patience, consistency, and incredible pet parents who understood that confidence can't be forced. They gave Prim the gift of time, and together we let her bloom at her own pace.
Watching this sweet girl come out of her shell has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. This is exactly what Humanity Over Vanity means to us. Sometimes the most beautiful transformation isn't the groom. It's watching a once fearful dog discover that the world, and the grooming table, can be a safe place. 💜🐩
