Poodles & Pals adventured to Cincinnati this weekend for Part 2 of continued education with Nathan & Kathlena Austin at Pooch & Purr. Hand stripping Terriers & a Dash of Poodle We’re exhausted, a little sore, but so incredibly fulfilled! We truly can’t thank Nathan & Kathlena enough—they’re such a breath of fresh air. The way they teach is incredible, not just to watch but to experience. Their hands-on guidance helped so many things click, and we can’t wait to keep improving.

It’s incredibly humbling in the best way to learn from such skilled, passionate professionals. We definitely have lots of things to work on (stacking practice is on the list, lol!), but that’s the fun of growing.

This weekend was all about focusing on what we love to do. Grooming brings us so much joy, and opportunities like this absolutely fill our cups (with just a dash of anxiety—but we’re working through it!).

We also met so many talented and kind individuals—it was exactly what our team needed. Thank you, Nathan & Kathlena, for sharing your time, knowledge, and genuine passion. And thank you to Stephanie for being such a gracious host, welcoming everyone into her beautiful salon, and sharing her knowledge with us as well.

Poodles & Pals stepped out today for continued education with Nathan & Kathlena Austin at Pooch & Purr in Cincinnati. We had such an amazing time learning from these two! Their passion, compassion, and incredible knowledge truly fill my cup and reignite that fire. Ohio needs more of this kind of community, and I’m so grateful for the connections we made today. Huge thanks to Nathan & Kathlena for sharing so generously and inspiring us to keep growing. And thank you to Stephanie for being such a gracious host and for opening her beautiful salon to all of us. We can’t wait to see everyone again tomorrow for Part 2 with hands-on work on both Terriers and Poodles!

Today, we remember the heroes—two-legged and four.

This Memorial Day, the Poodles & Pals family honors the brave souls who gave their lives in service to our country—including the loyal military working dogs who stood by their sides. Their courage, loyalty, and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

To the families, handlers, and fellow service members who carry their memories—our hearts are with you.
Freedom isn’t free, and today we pause to honor every life that was given to protect it.

Thank you. We remember. We honor. We hold their legacy close.

Molly & Moose rolled in for their spaw day and completely made our week.
Molly might be smaller than her big ol’ brother, but don’t let that fool you—she’s packed with personality and came ready to be adored (which we were more than happy to do).

Moose? He was just busy being the lovable goofball he always is—rolling around like the big puppy he is at heart and keeping the whole salon smiling.

We seriously love having these two in. They’re pure joy.
