What a great way to end the grouse season. Ellie tracked and pointed several educated late season grouse. Having missed one earlier, I pretty much conceded to just having spent a beautiful day in the grouse woods, seeing and hearing a few birds. Then she pointed this one 200 yards from the truck on our way back from our last hunt.
This will go in the books as one of those extra special memories.
