2nd Chance Dog Program 2nd Chance is a partnership with Dessin Animal Shelter.

It is an off site training program where shelter dogs are socialized and receive training that helps them become easily adoptable.

This sweet girl is ready for a home of her own! She loves everyone she meets and greets all with the enthusiasm of a puppy! She is approximately 6 mths old and is very smart! She knows all the basic commands and is learning more every day! We were hoping she would be our new therapy dog but the loud unusual noises of prison make her nervous. She is an amazing dog and if you would like to adopt her please apply online at Olga & Dorothea Dessin Animal Shelter.

We are thrilled to welcome Moby into our program! He is a love bug! A big, strong, playful sweetheart who is quickly adjusting to the new routine which is a balance of play, training & socialization.

2nd Chance is so thankful for Olga & Dorothea Dessin Animal Shelter for sharing their dogs with us! It's a partnership that benefits our staff, community & especially the dogs!

🎄Our pups at 2nd Chance Dog Program are spreading holiday cheer! Toby & Brooke are also celebrating their pending adoptions.... soon to go home with new families. 🏡

🐾Linda is still available - she is a super shy girl, preferring a quiet home with a fenced yard where she can do her zoomies and play with toys. Linda is very dog savvy, and would do well in a home with a doggy friend.🐾

Toby is settling in so nicely & had a blast playing with Linda & Davey today! He is a great dog! And so handsome!

You can’t miss the happiness on Dash’s face in this video! What you need to know is that Dash was one of the 30 dogs seized in a horrific hoarding case in November! She spent months at the shelter terrified of people! She has been with 2nd Chance since February & we believe she is ready for a quiet & loving home! More information on Dash is coming, but in the meantime time please re-watch this video and be the thankful for this dog’s 2nd Chance to just be a dog, safe, loved and playing in the mud!

Here is the story of Justin & J’s Barkery! 2nd Chance is so proud of him. The dog in the video is Emma, she was adopted from our program this summer after Dessin rescued her from a hoarding situation. So many great things falling into place, thanks to the support from the community & people willing to help the dogs! ❤️❤️❤️
