Now that the weather is warming up we can schedule rides on the warm days. If it’s rained a lot mud is still making it hard but otherwise we are excited to kick off the year!
I will be posting pop up dates for rides…
So if you received a Christmas certificate feel free to plug into one of the dates if I post or message to set something up.

Look forward to sharing the love of Jesus and the love of horses this coming year!!!!!

I took these photos about a month ago. It was just a peaceful day and I was so in awe of the beauty in these tiny snowflakes resting on the horses. While at this point (being almost spring and all) I am not as in awe of the snow. I am still just as in awe of our creator for the perfection of something as tiny as a snowflake. Snowflakes are a reminder to how God can be found in the big things and the littlest things around us. If he cares so much to make a snowflake so unique … so perfect. Imagine how he views us.
I hope today in the snow (that we are all so sick of) that you can be reminded that God truly makes beautiful things and YOU are one of those things. What a gift to be alive and to be designed by such a perfect creator. ❄️

Daisy:
Since we just did a Daisy introduction when she came to the farm a few months ago.
We will do a little update.
We went in to have her big eye removal surgery at the beginning of the month. We made the haul right after a big snow storm up to Rockford.
She was put under to do ultrasounds on her “bad eye” and the vet also checked her “good eye.”
Then we received the terrible news (that we were starting to suspect). Daisy doesn’t just have one bad eye she has two. She probably has a small small amount of vision in her “good eye” but not much. This was very sad news for us as we knew with one good eye she was still capable of a lot. Having no vision is much harder.
Eden has competed with her at 6 speed shows and the two had been growing together very well. A couple hiccups here in there (running into a fence) but God has kept them safe and they were figuring each other out.
We don’t know what’s next for Daisy 🌼 but we do know we will keep her safe.
It’s a great opportunity to trust God every step of the way.

This is Oreo.
He came here by my favorite story of all stories of animals at the farm.
My friend Michelle found him at an Amish farm and was worried what his fate would be due to a bad injury that left him with a severe limp.
I went down to Indiana with her to pick him up.
Super pregnant with our mini van.
The Amish kids were all smiling so big. She said “this is about to be the craziest thing you’ve ever seen and not in a good way”. 🤣 He then road all the way home in the back and when he peed I couldn’t stop dry heaving. We were both laughing so hard. He was at her house a week or so (in a neighborhood) before her husband decided she needed a new plan for this “critter” she rescued.
He’s been at Point of Grace since.
He’s quite the character. 🤣 We use him at horse camps to give kids some confidence in leading a smaller horse … Oreo isn’t so sure about this role.
About his injury .. you would never know as he runs around not letting us catch him.

There’s a term in the horse world that is “in your pocket horse”. I actually never knew what it meant. Then I met “Moses”
Moses wants to be part of everything you are doing at all times. He wants to be in your business and “in your pocket”. While some (J) may not always appreciate this trait about him.. I just eat it up. 😂
Moses came all the way from Texas and I knew deep down in my heart without ever seeing him that he was a horse God put into our life. The people who rescued him said when they saw the condition he was in they couldn’t leave him at the farm they saw him at. Even when he came he still needed weight. Today he is happy, usually healthy (besides a big vet bill this year from getting into chicken feed) and full of love.
His loves include food, food, and pockets filled with food. He is chill as a cucumber and it’s so nice having a horse with a calm head on his shoulders. Moses is truly a gift.

Riley
This wonderful boy is the fanciest horse on the farm. He was once a big deal show horse and now …
He’s still a big deal show horse- just to our little Eden. He is my go to for having beginner riders on. He’s slow. He’s kind. He’s just the perfect, most handsome boy.
He is a registered Quarterhorse, 22 years old, chestnut in color.
He is trained in Western classes but is wonderful at English and such a pro at trail classes. His fears include trail riding, giant beach balls, and cows.
I will never ever stop being so thankful that the couple who blessed us with him chose us to be his family for the rest of his life. He has truly changed our whole world and I can’t imagine life without him.

Since we have new people following with our little Christmas horses we figured it would be fun for some introductions on everyone that makes Point of Grace what it is…
Nevaeh:
She is smart, sassy, and the very first horse that we had when we started. She is the boss of the herd.
She is an 18 year old American Paint horse. I bought her in Wisconsin after tragically losing a different horse in a trailer accident. She was 6 months old and I was 20 years old. So we have been growing old together. Nevaeh lived in South Carolina with me in her early years. Then came back to Michigan and moved a couple fun places before joining our farm. Although she can be spicy my heart will always hold a special place for her as we have been through so much together. She is currently doing speed events with a very special little girl and I am certain that is making her an even better horse for kids next summer.

We have been putting together these tiny horses with a certificate for a large horse experience at the Farm. The certificates are a great little gift for families struggling to provide for their little ones this Christmas. Plus who doesn’t love a clutterless gift. 🐎
We are thankful to be able to give these out.
I already have a list going but if you know anyone that could use one let me us know.

Hosting a couple events at Point of Grace farm for foster kids or children that could use some extra support/healing within our community
The first one is:
Daughters of the King Tea Party 🍵 👑
Monday June 9
10:30-11:30
(Tea party for girls ages 4-8)

We Will have Bible horse camp 🐎again later this summer

The goal of these events is to create a faith based, fun farm environment for kids to learn about Jesus, play games, do crafts, and enjoy the animals.
These events are all free but specifically for families that have children in need.
We have a heart for foster children and love to be able to provide these programs for kids that could benefit and to families that can’t normally afford riding lessons.
We feel very much that the Lord blessed us with our space and the animals we have. It is a blessing to be able to share that with kids that it could provide somewhere they feel safe and a place of healing.
