Here's a project I did that was done as a piece of wall art. contacted me a few years back. They had a very specific piece of art in mind for their new Charlotte headquarters. They wanted a truck door with an eighties vibe. It was so much fun working on this. And I love it so much I wish I had made one for myself.

One bag is 20 years old,, the other is brand new. Matching old custom paint work requires more time than one would think. Even when its my own paint work. I painted one of these bags over 20 years ago. Paint does fade. Companies alter formulas. But I take the time to fine tune the paint formulas and do spray outs until I get it as close as I can.

Custom paint doesn't have to be over the top. Wicked cool paint can be as simple as black with a classic Harley design airbrushed on the sides of the tank. We painted this a few years ago.

In Custom paint, airbrushing seems to get all attention, but proper clearcoat application is critical. Improper clearcoat application can ruin artwork. We take the time to use the right technique and clearcoat materials to insure that the clearcoat is ultra clear, long lasting, and looks like liquid glass. We have paint jobs out there that are over 30 years old and still look new. Must be doing something right!

In 2009 Indian Motorcycle had me paint several prototype tanks for their new Bomber Bike. The top pic is what I painted. The bottom pic is what their production team painted based on my prototype. Looks a little different.

Back in 2000 I painted a wild lime green candy on a classic knucklehead chopper. The bike took a Best of Show at the Charlotte Easyriders Show. I like taking chances with wild, crazy colors and seeing what happens.
