Would you believe that these kittens have never been bathed or wiped ? Just ears and nails! Jubilee and Phantom are non oily Sphynx & they passed that to their kittens! This is a trait I want to make sure I continue in my lines! Spade is my sticky bald Sphynx and because of this he does produce more oil! However, thankfully he does not have an overproduction- but enough to need to be wiped/ cleaned often! Spade has some great genetics to contribute to the program and I intend to keep one of his kittens with October…. However, with this being said he will probably be the first Sphynx I retire from the program. As many of you know my mom has one of Spades offspring and she has reported that he produces little to no oil while a half sibling from another litter has been reported to be an oil machine! Oil production comes with the territory of bald cats and I’ve said this before- there’s nothing wrong with it! However, if I can produce kittens without that feature -why not?

I can’t compete with large, high volume catteries or catteries who do all the cool mixes and genetic mutations due to my own ethical standards but what I can do in my small low volume cattery is focus on health, quality and temperament! This is the foundation of my cattery and my mission !
