π π EMERGENCY HELP π π
Madison, WI
The owner of these dogs has found himself homeless. He is trying not to surrender them to a shelter where they could be euthanized or separated. They are all living on the streets together.
Good day,
Here are the details regarding my dogs.
Thank you and have a good day.

Paco-
Age, Weight, Temperament, Breed:
Boxer. About 6yrs old. 63lbs or so. Good with kids and cats, though he is pretty high energy and should be supervised when around children and kittens, as he can play rough. He's very handsy and may paw a childs face on accident.
Behavior:
He is very smart, pretty high energy, but I don't think as high as a husky.
Lots of character, very attached to his human (me). Listens to commands well, but has to be reminded frequently. Very well housebroken and kennel trained. Loves to play, and run, and loves to have a job.
Needs some work on his etiquette when going for a walk.
Paco's excitability:
Once being let out the kennel after a couple hours, he will want to run around and be a bit wild if he isn't reminded to sit/stay until he calms down.
Basically, if he is allowed to get ramped up he will want to run around a bunch.
He has been known to be a little jumpy on people. Though, he hasn't done so in a long long time, (1yr+).
When he's excited, he tends to get handsy and paw people sometimes.
Not too big of an issue, unless your face is within paw distance (small kids).
If he doesn't get his exercise, eventually, he will literally vibrate with energy.
Needs some work on his etiquette when going for a walk.
Rarely barks at all.
Likes to communicate via "Chewbacca" like growls and noises fairly often.
Attentive watch dog.
Bites/Aggression:
Only time he has ever shown any aggressive behavior is when his nails are trimmed. He WILL NOT allow them to be trimmed. I have not ever successfully trimmed his nails solo.
Though he gives plenty of warnings and has never spontaneously been aggressive.
Paco does start nibbling if people don't respect his boundaries regarding trimming his nails. Though, no actual bites.
Health:
He has had his full array of shots, but he is not up to date.
Rocko-
Age, Weight, Temperament, Breed:
11yr-12yr old. 53lbs or so. American Bulldog, Standard. Good with kids, cats, dogs, lots of people. Low energy. Relaxes a lot.
Behavior:
Very very well tempered, if a little skittish, sometimes. Very relaxed. Loves to cuddle. Drools a lot, sometimes. Low energy. Mostly relaxes all day, but is always ready for a walk. Would make a GREAT dog to visit nursing homes, or some such, to meet everyone and cheer them up.
Very well housebroken and kennel trained, but he is getting older and accidents can happen if he isn't let outside withina reasonable time frame.
Likes to play.
Needs some work on his etiquette when going for a walk.
Not very vocal. Barks when he goes to eat sometimes. I think it's a game he plays.
Attentive watch dog.
Bites/Aggression:
Never bitten anyone, ever.
Health:
Has had his full array of shots, but he's not up to date.
He is developing a hip issue, I believe. It is starting to be difficult for him to climb stairs and jump, but he is still very mobile.
They're both very adjustable dogs, I believe.
We did a lot of traveling, staying in hotels, and we had to to stay in the SUV a few times when traveling. They both fared well.
They both have experience being around lots of people, different places, other dogs, cats, kittens, kids, loud settings (ex, kid's parties). They DO get excited around other dogs and animals, though.
They have both been known to bolt out doors, though.
And, together, they have the capacity to drag a person. I know this for a fact.
They haven't bolted out the door for about a year, now. And, I've been working on their door entry etiquette for the past 2 months and are doing fine.
There is still a concern if they see another animal, cat, squirrel, dog. They should be walked individually if walked by a light weight person, just to be safe.
