What a wonderful afternoon at the Women in Business Quarterly Luncheon hosted at through

Pricilla and Dr. Holder were honored to attend alongside so many inspiring women in our community. A heartfelt thank you to all of the sponsors for helping create such a beautiful afternoon of networking and connection.
It was truly refreshing to meet so many new friends, strengthen relationships, and be reminded of the power of community, encouragement, and supporting one another in business and beyond.

We were honored to design the decor for this beautiful event and offer a Flower Bar experience for guests to enjoy. Seeing everyone create their own unique arrangements was such a joy, and we loved being a small part of such a special afternoon! 🌸✨

Copperhead Snake Bites in Dogs: When Is Antivenin Needed?

Copperhead bites are a common emergency for dogs in many parts of the southeastern United States. Most dogs survive with prompt veterinary care, but some bites can become serious very quickly.

Common Signs of a Copperhead Bite in Dogs & Cats:
Sudden swelling, especially on the face or leg
Pain or crying out
Puncture wounds
Bruising or bleeding
Weakness or lethargy
Drooling or vomiting
Trouble breathing in severe cases

What Is Antivenin?
Antivenin (antivenom) is a veterinary treatment that helps neutralize snake venom.

Antivenin is more likely to be used when:
Swelling is spreading rapidly
The bite is on the face, neck, or chest
The dog is having breathing problems
Severe pain or tissue damage develops
Blood clotting problems appear
The dog becomes weak, collapses, or shows shock
A small dog or puppy is bitten
Symptoms continue worsening despite supportive care

Important Facts
Not every copperhead bite in dogs requires antivenin.
Many mild bites are treated with pain control, monitoring, and wound care.

What Owners Should Do
Keep the dog calm and limit movement
Carry the dog if possible
Do not cut the wound or try to suck out venom
Seek emergency veterinary care immediately

Quick action can make a major difference in recovery and survival.

Tara, your care doesn’t just touch the lives of our patients, but all of us too—and we can’t wait to see you step into this beautiful new chapter.

Meet Scooby 🐾💛
This sweet boy came to see us earlier this week feeling very lethargic and dehydrated, and he needed hospitalization for supportive care. While Scooby was receiving treatment, his mom asked if she could stay with him—and we made it happen.

At PriorityPet Urgent Care, we quickly turned our lobby into a cozy treatment space so Scooby could receive the care he needed while resting comfortably beside his mom, watching TV together. Because sometimes, the best medicine is being close to the ones who love you most.

Scooby did great, and we’re so grateful we got to be part of his care. 💙
