🤍Happy Black Cat Appreciation Day AND National Nonprofit Day!🤍

Each year on August 17th, both and are celebrated!

Today is a day to say THANK YOU to our volunteers, fosters and supporters! It wouldn't be possible without everyone's efforts and generosity. Sometimes it really does take a village! 🐈

Did you know, black cats are often, still overlooked at shelters? Not only because of lingering, false, superstitions, but also because they're difficult to photograph. Ridiculous, right? They're missing out on so many sweet, beautiful cats! 🩶🩵

😻More kitties have left the building!💕

As much as we'll miss them, we're always happy to see our cats and kittens moving on to their forever homes.

Recently Meeko and Plinko went to their new home and today Blanche and Gertrude went together! Congratulations to them and their new families! 😻

🐈 We have lots of kitties up for adoption at PetSmart in New London 😻

Copper, Ash, Onyx, Dally, Sodapop and PonyBoy were all brought in today and we're in the process of reviewing applications for Blanche, Gertrude, Domino, Sid and Marblecake!

We also have some wonderful kitties in foster looking for their forever homes! 😺

All of our adoptable cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP, dewormed, SNAP tested and flea treated.

We DO NOT do same day adoptions. The adoption process must be completed prior.

UPDATE:

It won't let me update the original post. I apologize 😩

Thank you for all the support for Dime. Sadly, we had to let her go. The vets found that her lungs were full of fluid and that she was in heart failure. They assured us that there was nothing we could've done to prevent this, as it happened so suddenly. Euthanasia was the kindest option. 💔

To say we're devastated is an understatement. Dime has been with us since she was a kitten and we're going to miss her terribly. Her and Nickel had an approved application and would've been going to their forever home. We wish things could've been different.

Nickel is back in foster as we all grieve her sister. Any donations will go towards Dime's treatments and towards any future vet care for her sister.

🐈‍⬛URGENT HELP NEEDED FOR DIME 🐈

This is Dime, she's a little over 1-year-old and she's been at PetSmart for about a month, looking for her forever home with her sister, Nickel. She's a sweet girl who's beautiful, quiet and very polite.

This morning we got a concerned call from PetSmart, letting us know that Dime was acting funny and breathing hard. We rushed in to check on her and found her just as they said. She was lethargic, breathing hard, howling and wobbly. We immediately scooped her and her sister up (Dime doesn't go anywhere without Nickel) and we're heading to the vet now. 🏥

We don't know what's going to happen when we get to the vets office. We're desperately hoping for the best, but right now, funding is very low and we need help to give Dime the best chance! 🙏 PLEASE donate if you can, even if it's a dollar. Every little bit helps.
If you can't, we understand, but please share this post wherever you can! We'll keep you updated on Dime's care, thank you so much! 💚

Seven of our kittens got fixed this past week and did great! 🐱 We still have a bunch to get spayed/neutered, but it'll all happen quickly. 😸 If you or anyone is interested, get those applications in! 💕
