Silveraurora Suzanne Nevada's public page - Silveraurora started in 1996 with AKC ACD's and Shetland sheep. We raise AKC Cardigan Welsh Corgis - happy happy!

A few years later we purchased 120 acres, created a hay farm, goat dairy, and herding facility. I teach all-breed herding lessons and started competing at herding events in 1998. I have handled a number of breeds in all-breed herding trials and enjoy it greatly! In 2011 after several years studying the breed we added Cardigan Welsh Corgis to our home and have titled a number of Cardigans in herdin

g, conformation, and Rally - a wonderful happy breed that is enthusiastic about whatever it is you want to do! Our dairy goats are tested annually, all adults, for CAE, CL, and Johne's and have always been negative. We show, LA, and participate in DHI and have done so since 2003. Most years we only milk once a day, finding that fits in with our work schedule here quite well but it also reduces the amount of milk our girls produce. We have had multiple Best in Shows, Best of Breeds, Top Ten Milk Production both one day test and ADGA 305 day test, and LA Excellents. We have 3 breeds here, Nigerian Dwarf, Nubian, and Saanens. We also breed wonderful Shetland sheep!

So what do you do at 9pm on a Friday night? Casually check all the farm cameras to make sure all is well and notice one of your pregnant does is pushing. A first time momma. Hoping for one nice big buck kid for the 4H/FFA kids, instead I get THREE nice big buck kids. Out of a first freshener. And of course 3 times the feeding of colostrum for their first meals because I raise bottle kids. I was kinda ready, but definately got the rest ready pronto.
Here’s the still damp boys in a milk coma ready to go back to sleep! They will look prettier tomorrow, LOL!

The leaves are now gone from the trees this fall, but the moose are enjoying the hayfield’s rich grasses.

Well, it’s great to have the vet out to check on the goats and do the CAE, CL, Johne’s blood draws for WADDL but even greater to have the test results come back all negative as usual! Thank you Dr Sabrieta Holland DVM for coming by.

Raw fleeces available! Shearing is finished on the 31 head of Shetland Sheep once again. Fleeces were taken off the girls as they were shorn and put in open plastic bags. 3 whole fleeces per bag, most have a white, a brown, and a black fleece in them. Only 5️⃣0️⃣ per bag. Available for pick up Friday evening and Saturday until 4pm, Wasilla, KGB and Vine area. Please private message me.

SNUBIANS!! 3 happy hoodlums looking for a great milking home! These girls are out of my registered Saanens sired by my registered Nubian buck. They are healthy, happy, CAE/CL/Johne’s negative herd every year since 2003, located in Wasilla. All are bottle babies, still drinking lots of milk at 5 1/2 to 6 1/2 weeks of age and need milk through 12 weeks of age. Will make outstanding milkers, have wonderful kind temperaments, and are just lovely with their funny airplane ears. Started well on hay and Calf Manna. Message me directly if you are interested!

And today the Snubian gang moved over to a bigger stall so that they could exercise to their hearts content!! Lots of girls, lots of spots too. They have excellent milk potential/genetics. ❤️
