Since I have multiple kids on the ground and more on the way, now feels like the best time to post this!
🌸Schmitt Show Farms Goat & Sheep Sale Policy
🌸This policy only applies to goats & sheep, poultry and rabbits are excluded.
🌸A 25% non refundable deposit is required to claim a goat/sheep.
-For kids/lambs, deposits open typically at 1 week. They are posted, specifically 👀for🏡 when their deposits open! I will not allow kids/lambs to leave until they are at least 2 weeks old. Buyers must be confident in bottle feeding if they’re to leave before 8 weeks old. Though we usually don’t wean at that age, that’s when it’s safe for them to be off a bottle (typically).
-Deposits go towards the total cost!
-Deposits are also required for those already weaned, yearlings, and above that age if the buyer cannot pickup within 2 days. I’m not wasting my time on people who say they want something, arrange pickup, then no show.
-Payments are accepted on Venmo or CashApp.
🌸I reserve the right to pull out of or deny a sale all together at any point in time for any reason.
🌸BOTTLE BABIES!
-If you’re not comfortable bottle feeding your baby. I will gladly keep until 8 weeks old. I will ask an additional 15$ just to cover the feeding costs! Milk replacer isn’t free! It’s about 27$ a bag depending on what size I purchase.
-An extra 5$ a week will be charged after 8 weeks of age. Grain isn’t free! I charge boarding costs for my rabbits after 8 weeks of age as well!
🌸Boarding fees (5$ weekly) will be charged for those claimed after weaning if you cannot pickup within a week of claiming.
🌸Boarding fees are due at pickup.
🌸All of our goats/sheep are healthy to the absolute best of my knowledge before leaving my care. I am not responsible for any health issues or deaths after you bring your goat/sheep home. Lots of factors can change the health of animals.
🌸If sickness does occur after you bring your new baby home, I will gladly help you through it to the best of my ability!
🌸The majority of my goat stock is registered. Those sold will go registered as well unless listed as “pet quality” or just anything otherwise. None of my sheep are registered!
🌸If you purchase a goat kid from me with the intention of showing it in 4H, please be knowledgeable of everything you need for them. I try to breed to the breeds standard to the best of my knowledge and ability. Milk production is a very big focus of mine as well!
🌸If for any reason you can no longer care for your sheep/goat and need an emergency home, I will likely have no problem taking it back!
‼️This policy is subject to change at any point in time‼️
