DO NOT DO THE PUPPY MANNERS CLASS IF YOUR PUPPY IS OVER 20 LBS! This class is intended for puppies aged 8 weeks - 6 months. My puppy is 5 months old, while most of the other puppies in class fall in the range of 8-24 weeks. My puppy is a little larger and by far more active than the rest of the dogs in this puppy class. Way more active to the point that during our first puppy socialization time we had to pull my puppy out of it because the other puppy owners were getting fearful for their puppies. She isn't aggressive, just extremely playful and fast. And since she is bigger naturally the other owners will be a little timid. Prior to the 2nd session with the puppies, I told the instructor that my puppy had diarrhea in the week. This was due to a change in diet, verified by my vet. My instructor said that we need to leave class because my puppy had diarrhea earlier in the week, so we left. Waste of time. The instructor told me that she will email me and spend more time with my puppy the following week - that did not happen. While leaving she told me that next week my puppy can play with a deflated ball during socialization time instead of playing with the rest of the dogs because the groups energy and my puppy's did not match. - Kind of a slap in the face and made me realize we are not benefiting from this class to the same level as the other owners and pups, not at all getting our money's worth. The following week we attended the session, when we got to puppy socialization time we left so we wouldn't make the other owners feel uncomfortable. The instructor checked up on me by asking "I don't want to make it feel like you're being left out" I politely responded brushing off the obvious with a "no it is fine, I get it" and left. Of course we are being left out. My dog can feel the isolation. This class is not structured for us, it should not be 8 weeks - 6 months when you cannot provide the same service to a 8wk/6mo puppy. I contacted Spot On Dog Training a few times to resolve and receive a refund. The owner of Spot On Training was reluctant resolve. I did this company and trainer a favor by not keeping my dog in the class, there would be 5 other unsatisfied customers. I guess this business owner failed to see it this way. We were secluded and not benefiting from this class, not getting the same time and experience as the other dogs. I did not getting what I paid for. Based off of my calculations by the end of the 6 week @ 1 hr per class, I would have received 3.25/6 hours. Poor business acumen from Toni Woods. Some flexibility for this particular situation would have been appreciated.

Will there be puppy play this Sunday? Thanks!
SO confused about your schedule and I just don't have the brain power these days to figure it out. Can you please tell me my options (and dates, times, locations, and rates) for the next Family Manners Class? Or Basic Puppy Manners? We have what I like to call a Mastiff "Medley". Chili is on her way to becoming a pretty cuddly, dopey, yet intimidating 1.5 year old. She's developing leash aggression.... but has a generally sweet temperament so it's deceiving. PLEASE HELP! We can not afford private lessons. Do you offer or recommend any classes in NW?
