SEVERE RISK UPGRADE - PNW - WEDNESDAY

There is now a level 2 of 5 [or slight] severe risk for parts of the PNW - yellow highlighted areas - for Wednesday afternoon and evening. This level 2 severe risk includes Seattle and Portland and the entire I-5 corridor from Everett to Eugene. Scattered severe storms are likely and the strongest could produce up to tennis ball size hail, damaging winds, lightning and a couple/few tornadoes within the level 2 severe risk. The same hazards are possible in the level 1 severe risk but the activity will be more isolated in nature. Please note: not every storm will produce hail that large or tornadoes - what is most common is lightning and pocket change size hail - nickels and dimes with a few quarters
