FidoJournalism

FidoJournalism Creative Pet Photography serving Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. http://www.fidojournalism.com I do not try and pose your pets with props or costumes.

FidoJournalism was born out of my passion for photography and my love of pets. The name FidoJournalism is a play on the word “photojournalism,” and reflects my style. My primary goal is to tell a story about your pet through my images. Rather I want to capture them as they are – playing with a favorite toy, running around the yard, or even just sleeping peacefully. I believe this creates authentic images that you will treasure forever.

Having grown up with a Golden Retriever, I’m a bit partial, but aren’t Golden puppies the best? Lily was the sweetest little model and we had a beautiful evening on Capitol Hill.

I’m available for all types of pet photography. Get in touch if you would like some photos of your furry loved ones! [email protected]

We had to say goodbye to our beloved Jingles this weekend. He was our first baby of the family (that soon grew to include 5 other dogs and 1 human), and we got him shortly after my wife and I married and we moved into our first house.

He was one stubborn dog too. Whether he wanted a treat or your spot on the couch or bed, he would find a way to make it happen. He'd nudge or howl until we gave in. The saying in our house was "Jingles always wins."

That stubbornness worked to our advantage after he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in 2014. We had a tough decision, as he was already 9 years old and the outlook wasn't great for that type of cancer. The vet told us that most dogs live up to a year afterwards, but we decided to go through with the amputation and chemo. He amazed everyone by making it another 3.5 years! He barely missed a beat and adapted really well to 3 legs.

We were so fortunate to have him in our lives and we will greatly miss him.

Haven't shared any photos of our dogs in awhile. Here's Jingles, the old man of the house.
