Fisher's Guccio (“Gucci”)
2020 17.1h black Dutch Harness Horse

Gucci is proving himself to be quite the event horse! He recently competed at the Loudoun Hunt Pony Club HT and came out of dressage with a 25, and finished 3rd! He is all class in the arena, and bold and brave out of cross country. This lovely young horse promises to be a fantastic partner for anyone looking to enjoy lots of different things with their horse.

Gucci is a barn favorite with his big, goofy personality. His eagerness to please has made him easy to work with and a fast learner. Originally purchased as a dressage horse, Gucci has shown a talent for jumping, making him a promising prospect for someone looking to bring along a sensitive, sensible horse. He’s not only delightful to handle and quiet on the ground, but he is easy in the barn, and trailers well. This handsome gelding has been given the time to mature physically and mentally and is ready for someone to take over the ride and enjoy him. Gucci is well suited for an amateur working with a trainer.

The Frame really ran the gamut this weekend!

Martin was out at the Maryland International + Horse Trials at Loch Moy Farm with two horses. Marsha Spencer and Erin Durst’s homebred Justified delivered a brilliant performance in the CCI2-S*, finishing 4th in a highly competitive field. Galactic Frame Z, one of The Frame’s homebred mares, tackled a large Open Training division and landed confidently inside the top 15—showing off her continued development and maturity.

Meanwhile, Joe and assistant barn manager Abby, the newest addition to The Frame team, took six horses to A Jump Above at Great Meadow. It was a great outing filled with confident rounds, valuable miles over new fences, and a chance for each horse to grow in a positive, low-pressure setting.

From FEI tracks to schooling shows, it’s all part of the process—and we’re thrilled with how each horse stepped up this weekend. Thank you to all of the show management, and volunteers who made both events a success. And congratulations to all of the horses and their connections!

Wednesday TF (“Wednesday”)
2022 Bay Belgian Warmblood mare
(Diktator Van De Boslandhoeve x Diarado x Cavalier)

Wednesday TF is the complete package for anyone looking to bring along a serious hunter-jumper prospect. Bred for both talent and temperament, Wednesday combines the modern, athletic influence of Diktator Van De Boslandhoeve with the powerful jump and rideability of her damline. Her dam competed successfully to 1.35m in Europe before transitioning to a winning hunter career in the U.S.

From her first trips through the jump chute, Wednesday has impressed with her textbook hunter technique—tight, classic knees and a soft, effortless jump that naturally produces the style the judges love. She’s not only athletic but also incredibly confident and adaptable, taking every new environment completely in stride.

Wednesday is easy to handle on the ground, kind, and straightforward—exactly the kind of young horse you want to develop. With her elegance, movement, and natural jump, she is poised to become a standout in the ring.

The Frame had a stellar weekend, with both Martin and Joe out competing and bringing home ribbons across the board!

At Hunt Club Farms Horse Trials, Martin rode four horses—all finishing in the top five of their divisions. Justified, owned by Marsha Spencer and Erin Durst, blazed around the Open Preliminary to take 1st place, showing off his trademark speed and precision. Our homebred Galactic Frame Z continued her impressive Training level debut with a 2nd place in Open Training, backing up her win from her first time out at the level. Sale horse Prynce Rubin PVF earned a well-deserved win in Open Novice, proving once again what a cool and composed competitor he is. First Syzygy QP rounded out Martin’s weekend with a 4th place in Open Novice, with a professional and efficient performance.

Meanwhile, over at Morven Park Summer Show I, Joe was piloting four horses and brought home top-five finishes with every single ride. Standout results included a 2nd place in the Sunday Puddle Jumpers 2.1 aboard Blue Chip Farm’s Uni BC, and another 2nd place in the 2.C division with Uliana, owned by Priscilla Barczyszyn.

Big congratulations to all the horses, owners, and connections—and thank you to both venues for hosting such well-run shows. A strong weekend all around for !

Our Story

Martin Douzant is from Vaucluse, located in the heart of Provence in the south of France. Who knows which direction four-year-old Martin’s life might have taken were it not for a chance meeting with a paint pony named Paquerette during a family vacation. It was love at first sight, if not flat out obsession, and after just one ride Martin’s fate was sealed. The Douzant family returned from their summer vacation and promptly enrolled Martin in the local pony school.

Martin knew at this young age that he would dedicate his life to horsemanship. By middle school, Martin’s evident talents secured him a place in Sport Études de Castelnaudary, the illustrious equestrian high school in Toulouse. In college, Martin specialized in business management for sporting enterprises. He simultaneously earned France’s official BEES First Degree certification, the essential French riding instructor certification. Martin then moved to Scotland to work for and train under Olympic medalist and eventing legend Ian Stark.

Upon his return to France in 2009, Martin opened the doors of The Frame Sport Horses, a business focusing on young horse development. He scoured the breeding farms of Europe to find young, talented horses that he could develop at the start of their careers. Martin realized the need for well-bred, well-trained European horses in the United States. Martin connected with Patricia and David Vos, who asked him to first work with them at Tebogo Sport Horses and introduced Martin Virginia’s riding community. By establishing an operation in the United States with deep knowledge and experience starting young horses, as well as furthering the classical education of both horses and riders, Martin was able to open the doors of The Frame Sport Horses USA in early 2015 in The Plains, Virginia.
