We still have not found Maisie. I haven't posted in a while, because it is hard to write that she is still not home. But I did want to take a moment to thank all of the wonderful people that I know have been and will continue to look for her and hope that she comes back to us. The immense kindness and support that my mom and I have gotten from both close friends and total strangers has helped to make a very difficult time a little bit easier. We will always be grateful. And will always hope that she will come home.

Maisie is still not home.

When I first brought Maisie to stay with my mom in December 2015, I was worried she had never really experienced a cold winter since I’d adopted her in Houston. I bought her this coat, which my mom called her Santa coat. My hope now is that someone has her and is keeping her warm, and that we can somehow find that person.

I’ve been so happy to see so many lost pets reunited with their families this week. I am still hopeful we might have a happy ending too.

Please keep looking out for her.

This is one of my favorite pictures of Maisie. I met my mom at the beach in Bethany in Delaware this past September and we took her to look at the ocean. She would always just lay back and enjoy the wind in her hair. I really miss her.

No updates today, unfortunately. But we will keep looking.

A quick note. My mom remembered just after we made the first flyers that Maisie had gotten groomed a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to update the flyer to make sure everyone has the absolute best description of what to look for. She’s so tiny she’s not hard to recognize I know but I want everyone to have the right image in their minds. Thanks so much to everyone for your support!

We are still searching for Maisie everywhere that we can. I am back at home in Washington, DC, but will keep doing everything I can from here.

This is a new flyer that Sam from Pure Gold Trackers made for us. My goal is to get it posted in a two-mile radius around where we think Maisie last was. If anyone is in Swarthmore. Morton, Nether Providence, Media, Ridley, Wyndom, Rutledge or anywhere within two miles from Nick's on Woodland and Powell and can help, please message me. One sighting or lead is all we need to get her home.

Today we received a message about a sweet, elderly girl who matched Maisie's description at the ACCT Philly shelter. We were very cautiously optimistic, and went down to see if it might be her. Unfortunately it wasn't, but we did meet Candy, a 15+ miniature poodle surrendered by her owner yesterday. She was such a sweet girl, and will hopefully very quickly find a good home to spend her senior days.

As for our dear Maisie, we are staying hopeful that she WILL be home again soon. Having a supportive community like all of you has brought tremendous comfort in all of the chaos. Thank you so much for all of your support, and please keep sharing and searching until we have Maisie home. Just one sighting or lead is all we need to find her.

Thank you especially to everyone at Delco Dawgs who has been helping us. We couldn't do this without you. ❤️

Yesterday I went out with Pure Gold Pet Trackers to see if we could make anything of the sightings that have popped up over by E. Leamy and Powell in the past few days. It looks like she was in fact there!

It's possible a Good Samaritan picked her up sometime on Thursday, or more possibly Friday. If you see her or see someone with her (walking her, in a yard etc.) please don’t chase or approach her. Please take a picture if you can, note the location and time she was seen, and call 202 730 6320 immediately.

Calls can be anonymous; what’s most important is that we find her. We are offering a reward for any information leading to her safe return. Please continue sharing, and keep an out eye on the local FB pages, and Next Door. Thank you, all!

I adopted Maisie in March 2015 from the Poodle Rescue of Houston in Houston, Texas. This is the picture from her shelter “profile.” After almost a year she came to stay with my mom in Springfield, PA when I was had to travel for an extended period for work. They quickly became attached and have been inseparable ever since. We lost her this past Sunday and are heartbroken, but extremely grateful for everyone’s help and support. So many people are helping to look for her, and I am overwhelmed by the kindness and caring shown to us by complete strangers. Thank you so much too to Amanda Mendelson for creating this page and helping us in so many other ways; I am so grateful.
