Any kitten will be affectionate and sociable with proper socialization ❓
No, not every kitten will be outgoing and affectionate if properly socialized. Socialization plays a huge role in shaping a kitten's behavior and increases the chances that it will grow up friendly and well-adapted to life with people. However, genetics also play a role. A kitten's temperament, inherited from its parents, influences its tendency to be sociable and affectionate.
Think of socialization as polishing a diamond. If the diamond is initially of good quality (good genetics), then polishing will make it shiny and beautiful. But if the diamond has defects (genetic predisposition to shyness or aggression), then even the most careful polishing will not make it perfect.
Thus, socialization is a necessary but not sufficient condition for the formation of a sociable and affectionate character. Even with ideal socialization, some kittens may remain more reserved or independent due to their innate temperament.
But if a timid, cowardly kitten is not socialized, then the chances of getting a bed dweller who only comes out to eat and go to the toilet are very high.
I recommend selecting producers by temperament. It is clear that only a madman will work with aggressors in general. But cowards who bypass a person, especially Maine C**ns, are not the norm! Maine C**n is a companion cat and I really want her to still be one after decades.
