Good Dog Workshop LLC We'll teach you how to 'Speak Dog' and show you what your dog is capable of! Whatever your dog's behavior, we can help you resolve it!

And we teach in 2 HOURS what other trainers can in 2 WEEKS! We'll teach you more in 2 HOURS than others can in 2 WEEKS! Our mission at Good Dog Workshop is to make a positive difference in the lives of dogs and dog owners, primarily through in-home, one-on-one training sessions, and to educate the public and dog rescue volunteers on responsible dog ownership through instruction on the natural appr

oach to working with dogs. Our goal is to foster a relationship between animal and human that is based on trust and respect. We’ll teach you to better communicate with your dog and give you the knowledge and the confidence to work with your dog‘s nature, not against it. Essentially, we'll teach you how to ‘Speak Dog’. Nearly all unwanted dog behavior comes from instability caused by unfulfilled needs in a dog's life—such as inadequate exercise, lack of structure, no discipline, weak leadership and inconsistent training. Good Dog Workshop will show you that providing your dog with proper LEADERSHIP and EXERCISE will satisfy his instinctive, natural needs which is the foundation to developing a strong bond of trust and respect with your dog.

Meet BUGLE! This little beagle is available for adoption from the Fauquier SPCA and is as cute and friendly as she looks.

She's been with us for just a few hours and so far we've learned:
- She LOVES sniffing and exploring her surroundings and she doesn't walk slowly despite her size...but she will stop for ear scratches,
- She gets along great with other dogs,
- She loves going for rides, and
- She likes collecting things and taking them to her new bed.

Bugle will be back at the SPCA tomorrow (Thursday), ready to meet you so please stop by and see her!

Meet LEXI! This 2-3 year old female pit bull is staying with us for the night and, boy, is she a nice dog! She got along great with our 3 dogs from the get-go, walks very nicely on-leash, rides great in a car, is housebroken, and takes treats very gently. She's just a bit above medium energy (for a pit bull) — she does her zoomies several times a day (including as soon as we get inside from a 1.75 mile walk), and she's pretty strong when playing tug, but she doesn't pester my 3 low-key dogs to play with her, instead she lays down and gnaws on a bone. Lexi will be back at the Culpeper County Animal Shelter tomorrow so please swing by and see her from 11am - 3pm!

This morning's client came to us concerned and frustrated after spending thousands of dollars on 3 different dog trainers who couldn't help her other than giving her conflicting advice and that all 3 agreed the reason her dog was so reactive with other dogs was that he was anxious and lacked confidence....but they were all wrong.

Her dog didn't lack confidence — he simply lacked leadership and practice meeting other dogs. Within 1 hour, we showed this wonderful client how to properly lead her dog in multiple different scenarios, and had him meet all 3 of our dogs.

Check out the photos of our client going up to my truck to greet my dogs while keeping her dog behind her, patiently waiting; walking next to one of our dogs; and finally just jumping into my truck with my 3 dogs.

Here's what she texted me 30 minutes after we finished training:
"I cannot thank you enough for all of your help. You gave me peace of mind that Henry is a great dog and I now have the tools to work with him like he needs and deserves."

The next time a trainer wants to charge you thousands of dollars to take your dog to their facility (where you can't see how your dog is being handled or even IF he's being trained at all), give us a call first. We'll give you a FREE and honest impression of what it will likely take to help you and your dog...whether you choose to hire us or not. And if you choose to work with us, it won't cost you $1000s. Most of our clients only need us for 1 or 2 sessions.

Give us a call today and let us help you, too! 703-489-1319

Beagle field trip, part 3! "Christina Waguilera" spent another fun day with us. She met some new canine buddies, showed us she's a good little follower off-leash, demonstrated how to properly roll in the grass, and how excited she gets when she picks up a good scent.

If you're interested in adopting her or want to know more about her, please call the Fauquier SPCA at 540-788-9000, or come see her tomorrow or Friday from 10am - 4pm or Saturday and Sunday from 12noon - 4pm.

Beagle field trip, part 2! The Fauquier SPCA's awesome little Beagle (named Christina Waguilera) is back with us for another overnight! She fell asleep in the sun before we even got on the road...then as soon as we walked in, there was a flurry of activity as she reunited with Callie, Aerial and Eeyore...then a couple of bathroom breaks...and finally she found her perfect napping place. This little dog is so sweet! Will YOU be lucky enough to adopt her?

Beagle field trip! The Fauquier SPCA's little beagle "Christina Waggulera" is spending the night with us since she's finally feeling better. She came into the shelter very sick and very skinny, and it was touch-and-go there for the first day or so. But now she's feeling good and needed a night out to what life is like in a home before she finds her forever family.

Right off the bat, she fit seamlessly into our pack, rode great on the drive home, enjoyed exploring the neighborhood then our backyard then inside the house, but her favorite part of all was checking out the pantry! (Typical Beagle.) Stay tuned for more updates!

To find out more about this wonderful little Beagle, call the Fauquier SPCA at 540-788-9000, or come visit her any day (except Wednesdays).

Our new foster dog WATUSI came home with us this morning from the Fauquier SPCA. Watusi is a 4-5 month old female Heinz 57 and is every bit as sweet as she looks. She's calm, quiet and a bit clingy in her new environment, but she's settled in very nicely.

She's great on-leash, loves being out in the yard, is very attentive in the house, takes treats very gently and likes to be snuggled up close to a person. Could that person be YOU?

For more information about WATUSI, please call the Fauquier SPCA at 540-788-9000. She will be available to greet you from 12pm-5pm tomorrow July 5th!

Today I took Kiki on a field trip into town. She made friends everywhere we went: Petco, HomeDepot and the Warrenton Volunteer Fire Company. I want to give special thanks to Battalion Chief Hensley, Wes and all the other firefighters there who welcomed us into their station.
