Back Woods Trap Shooters

With about 7 weeks until registration begins for the 2026 YSS trap season, it’s time to start thinking about getting your Hunter Education completed if you don’t already have it!

Course Is available online or in-person classes can be found occasionaly.

Shooters must be grades 5th-12th and must be at least turn age 11 prior to 9/1/2026.

That’s a wrap on our 2025 trap season.

Senior 1 narrowly missed advancing to state and it came down to tie breaker. The south region definitely holds on to its title as the toughest region!

Thanks to all our shooters and parents for a great year!

We also want to give a shout out to our senior shooters: Reed Wardlaw, Mason Wardlaw, Chris McClain & Colton McKinney who we will definitely miss.

Already looking forward to next year!

Seniors' first flight time is 12pm on Saturday on Field 10. We must be ready and waiting to shoot at 11:30am to immediately follow the squad before us. Please be at Jacksonville at 11am. Shooting order is Sr 3, 2, 1.

Backwoods Juniors end their season with a good showing at regionals. There has been a lot of growth this season and can’t wait until next!

South Regional Trap Shooting Tournament kickoff/today at theAGFF/Jacksonville Shooting Sports Complex!

Backwoods Juniors take the line around 10am today and Backwoods Seniors will fire their first shot around noon tomorrow!
