Two German Shepherd females. One foundation. One standard.

First and second pick females, working together as one at just 11 weeks old. Both puppies are developing their sit-stay and learning to maintain position and control while working on our obstacle course. These early sessions are about building focus, confidence, environmental stability, and clear communication. We are not rushing development. We are establishing the foundation that will support these dogs for the rest of their lives.

At CCPD, we start working our puppies at just five weeks of age. We introduce different environments, unfamiliar surfaces, leash and collar work, and new experiences while carefully developing their confidence and adaptability. We take them places, expose them to new situations, and begin preparing them for the real world from an early age.

Many breeders send puppies to their new homes at eight weeks having had very limited exposure beyond their whelping area. We believe the five-to-eight-week period is one of the most critical developmental windows in a puppy’s life. The experiences, exposure, and foundation established during this time can have a lasting impact on the adult dog.

We don’t wait for the dog to mature to start building the foundation. We start early, build correctly, and develop the dog one step at a time.

CCPD — We work what we breed, and breed what we work.
