‘Cole’ is 14 and still chases the moped when I ride it around the yard. His vision is impaired and he’s slowing down quite a bit these days, but his amazing daddy still sends him to me for enrichment time. He gets pampered by my wife, he gets to feel youthful and “run” with me, eats lots of good treats, and is still making plenty of new friends at his age. What a beautiful thing to be a part of.

KEIKI is a 4 month old Cane Corso who is with us to establish a foundation in obedience, confidence, environmental navigation, social skills, and house manners that his O’hana will be able to continue to build on over time. He’s got his little heart set on Brooklyn. Swipe to the last slide- this morning I found him laying underneath her WHILE she was practicing her goat yoga. Can’t blame the little guy. 🤙🏾🩶🐾😂

Quick demo on how to teach “Sit” with an implied “Stay.” I never tell my dogs to “Stay,” and instead train them so that when I tell them “Sit” or “Down” they know to remain in that position until I use my release word.
Also a good example of how I use “Good” as my continuation marker (keep doing what you’re doing, I will come to you with a reward).

FINLEY • Finley is such a good dog, definitely not even half as unhinged as he could afford to be. Look at him, making friends with our little baby girl. 🐐🐾 Finley is “dog selective” but he’s currently running around the acreage with 4 other dogs (also all male), having a great time. People act like your dog needs to be able to be friends with every dog, and it’s just not true. Dogs are allowed to have preferences the same way we do. We love a man with standards. 😎

These are only a few examples of scenarios when dragging a long lead around can benefit both you and your pup. I use 20' and 30' leads on pups on our property very often to create consistency, peace of mind, even better recall, and a sense of freedom for the dog.

We recently rescued a female baby goat who was suffering from being orphaned and neglected. Many people are amazed to see me bring the dogs around her- but it is supervised and these dogs are only allowed in her space when they’ve shown that they can respect the boundaries that have been set to honor her. She has even played with a couple of the dogs this month, it’s very very cute. 🐐🐾

‘Booboo’ and ‘Buddy Boy’ who are well known online for the story of how we were able to help them go from completely feral, to good dogs in a loving home environment. They survived the first 6 months of their lives together at the dump here on Maui and needed some help before they were ready to live with anyone.
It’s been a couple of years since then, and they come back to stay with us and brush up on their skills each time their parents go on a trip. Always grateful to see progress and to help place dogs in happy homes.
