Let’s talk about the bladder meridian! (What I’m working on in the video) It is the longest energy pathway in the body. It runs along the back, through the legs, and connects deeply with the nervous system. When this meridian is blocked or stagnant, it can show up as:Stiffness or tension in the backFatigue and low energyEmotional overwhelm (like holding fear and stress in your system) Think of it as opening a river so energy can flow more freely through body and mind, the horses really love this! The greatest compliment to me, is when I am able to teach a client to feel and work with their horse/tissue and then see them be able to do the work at home ❤️

I saw this pretty girl 1x 3 weeks ago and sent her mom home with daily activations, stretches and exercises and she DID THE WORK 🙌🏼

the best part is when I saw the horse again, I was immediately impressed with the improvement of movement and strength but the client was barn blind to her work (she sees her every day so it’s hard to notice the changes) but there were tears of love and pride when she was able to see the side by side comparison 🙌🏼🥹

I love my calling so much ❤️🙏🏼

Be the one 🙌🏼 raise the bar!

Be the example—

Be the one that always has shiny, fit, and healthy horses.

Be the one that has clean stalls and alleyways.

Be the one that rolls the hose back up and puts garbage in the trash can.

Be the one that cleans up around their trailer when at a facility.

Go the extra mile—

Be the one that gets noticed for their work ethic and kindness.

Be the one that walks the walk.

Be a winner.

Bonus points if you are also the example on social media! We’ve seen a lot of people get out of hand, be rude, unkind, patronizing, derogatory, etc… in comments on our posts lately. And not even towards us—towards each other and others inside and outside of our industry.

Winners don’t act this way and that’s not the kind of community we are trying to build with Between The Reins. If you want to engage on our posts, please BE THE EXAMPLE for others to follow.

Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend! 🇺🇸

☀️ Beat the Heat: Stay Hydrated! 💧that means your animals too!!! Fresh water is essential for yours and their well being! Here’s why!

Summer heat is no joke—especially when you’re active. Whether you’re riding, working out, or just spending time outdoors, staying hydrated is essential to keep your body functioning at its best.

Here’s why hydration matters in the heat:
✅ Regulates body temperature – Sweat cools you down, but you need enough fluids to keep sweating effectively.
✅ Prevents heat exhaustion & heat stroke – Dehydration can sneak up fast and lead to serious health risks (esp that nasty c word)
✅ Keeps muscles and joints happy – Water helps reduce cramps, stiffness, and fatigue.
✅ Supports recovery – Staying hydrated helps your body flush out toxins and recover faster after workouts.

Quick tips:
💧 Drink water before you feel thirsty
🥤 Add electrolytes if you’re sweating heavily (there are lots of good electrolytes for horses too)
🚫 Avoid sugary or caffeinated drinks in the heat
🥒 Snack on water-rich foods like cucumber, watermelon, and oranges

Take care of your body from the inside out—hydration is one of the simplest and most powerful tools in your health toolkit. 🔥
