When Harper and Flo see cattle or any kind of stock, they lock in and are so focused it’s funny actually, since they know their job.

t’s pretty cool to watch both Harper and Flo work together, especially when their styles are different but they also complement one another, they did better than I thought for their first time working together.

They deserve to relax with us as well after a hard day where it was hot. We like our dogs to be house broke as well in case something happens where they need to be in the house, they already know what’s expected of them before coming in.

SBS Trixi comes from my brother over at Spade B Stockdogs. She is a Flo-Speck pup and I got pretty high hopes for her. That’s her at just four months old.

Today was Ivy’s first time working the goats, and I’d say she handled herself pretty well.
She showed plenty of confidence, took her corrections, and kept trying to figure things out. That’s all I can ask from a dog. There’s still plenty of training ahead of her, but it’s fun watching everything start to click.
The bittersweet part? Ivy is looking for her next ranch. If you’ve been searching for a dog with a solid foundation and a lot of potential, shoot me a message. I’d be happy to tell you more about her.

Flo did decent, she’s been off for about a week since I’ve been busy with other stuff, but trying to get her to think more for herself and make the right decisions herself, I should’ve been better as a handler in that session controlling my voice but we ended on a good note and she progressed and got better.

Usually I have my dogs in a dog box whenever they’re in the bed of a truck but they also have to learn that they can ride in the bed of the truck not tied and not in the dog box and for Harper’s 2nd time she did amazing.
