Temperament testing was done today. Everyone scored about where I thought they would. We had some people have to move to a future litter due to life circumstances. We have 2 males available from Nessie and Striker and 1 male available from Tessa and Nandor/Nigel.

Potty training has begun. We do not have a dog door. I live in the desert and have wildlife nearby. So we have bells on the door. Sometimes they ring those, sometimes they just cry as seen here with Aotrom. Will they be 100% hours broken when they go home? Absolutely not, one new environment will absolutely throw them off, but they are also young. And accidents will happen. But this makes it so much easier on the future pet parents.

What the puppy call looks like.
Why is it important? It teaches a recall. Recalls are vital for a puppy/dogs safety. If they have a good recall you can get them out of dangerous situations or call them to you for whatever reason.
How do we start the puppy call?
When we start feeding them from 3 weeks on we say puppy puppy puppy. They start to learn that means food. At first they are already right there, but later they can be in a separate room like this and come running.

Other breeders post messes from their puppies, pure chaos where they sleep etc. Those are what I call greeders not breed...

Other breeders post messes from their puppies, pure chaos where they sleep etc. Those are what I call greeders not breeders. They don't care what mess their pups are in, they don't teach them from a young age where to go potty. Dogs by nature want to keep their "dens" clean. So if you provide a place for that at a very early age they will keep their space clean. Which in turn makes them easier to potty train, and of course easier for me to clean up. This was 12 puppies overnight.... This is the "mess" I have in the am. Good breeders do sooo many steps so their puppies have amazing starts which makes them amazing pets.

We had our puppy party today. What is a puppy party? Well it's a perfect time for other people to interact with the puppies, some do training with them, some cuddle with them and then I also get input from some amazing poodle people on how they are looking and temperament etc. It's like having a ton of eyes to give me thoughts and see if I am seeing the same thing. One of the ladies brought a balloon for the party, apparently the puppies thought it was just for them 😂

As a forever breeder, I take a dog back no matter the age of circumstances.
Echo here was going to return to us due to some issues the owner was having. He was living in Montana so plans were being made to get him back to me. That's when an amazing friend of mine in Canada said she wanted him. He's 7 years old and she prefers seniors. So it was a perfect match.

He has been with his new owners for 3 months, he is loving all the training and scent work his new mom is doing with him. He's confident and eager to please. It's moments like this, I believe sometimes things happen the way they were meant to happen. It takes a village and I'm glad to say my poodle family is a perfect village!
